On our way to Hawaii we stayed at this hotel to explore Seattle for few days. The best feature of this hotel is its location. A reasonably short walk to Pike Place market, short walk to Capitol Hill and tons of great restaurants and brew pubs around, something that Seattle excels at (unfortunately can't say the same about their tolerance for homeless and bums everywhere with the inevitable trash and smells that comes along).
We were upgraded to a corner suite that looked like a small apartment with a full kitchen (not that we needed it) but appreciated the space to put our luggage without tripping over them.
The major flaw about this hotel is their breakfast and breakfast area. They never seem to clean table fast enough for the next guests so we had to use napkins to wipe off food and used our own alcohol to sanitize our table while the staff was nowhere to be found. In Covid times, this is simply unacceptable from a Hilton.
The food was dismal as usual (they didn't even have toast and ran out of bread at some point!) but if you ever see what they call scrambled eggs, RUN FOR THE HILLS! They must used some powder mix that comes in a bucket and is the most disgusting thing you will ever have. I would think shredded cardboard would taste better. On our last day they spared us this misery and served eggs over easy. They looked suspiciously like they came form an assembly line but at least they tasted like eggs. Having seen the delicious breakfast spreads at Hiltons in Mexico, Europe and Asia, it is a shame that they keep serving garbage at their US locations.

I would recommend this hotel to visit the great city of Seattle. Just use it for sleeping and head to the impressive Starbucks compound nearby for breakfast.

This is an ideal location of Capitol Hill visits, unfortunately parking is scarce and the hotel garage is extremely expensive. The management here could give a little better attention to details. I've noticed some deterioration of the room quality on my recent visit and on the one visit I tried the breakfast it was not a good experience, lack of food and very messy serving area.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in a king one bedroom suite.
Reception staff truely were the best. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and great fun.
The hotel is in an excellent location with downtown just 5 mins walk, pike street market just 10 mins walk, Lgbt community just on the adjacent street and numerous restaurants around.
Suite was spotless and huge with snacks and drinks supplied daily.
Breakfast was basic but good and plentiful with hot drinks supplied all day.
Definitely returning to this property as it was just so nice.
Thanks guys

I did not enjoy my two nights in Seattle especially because the hotel I selected was not up to par. I am a Gold Hilton Honor Member and regardless, I did not feel any special welcome from the front desk staff. I have to say that the people working at the social hour were just the opposite, very nice and attentive. But both check in and check out were as cold as they could be. The hotel is outdated. The room smelled. The sofa bed was one of the worst I have ever experienced. The room we chose was supposed to be larger - but all the space was taken by the corridor while the bathroom and the actual sleeping room was really small and you could barely move around (unless I wanted to hit the armoire). There was a door leading onto a balcony which brought a lot of street noise and cold to the leaving room because it was not properly insulated. I was really uncomfortable in the room from when I checked in, but we had so many things to do the next day that I did not have time to go look for another property. So I just did things hoping that check out day would come as soon as possible. I have never wanted to leave a hotel that bad. On the second day, the coffee area in the room was not refilled properly and I had to call housekeeping. The elevator was a joke, the keys were not working for any guest and you had to insert the key and move it up and down a few times to make the elevator go up. I felt like for the amount of money that I spent, I did not get the space and the service that I wanted and I will not return to this particular property in the future. The only one thing I can say positive about this property is that is is literally 4 blocks from the shopping area and few more blocks to Pike Market Place so it does have a good location. As much as I hate to say, a hotel experience can enhance or ruin a vacation and this one did just that. I am glad to have left.

Positives:
Excellent value for location.
Walking distance to Pike Place Market.
Decent pizza place next door, with full bar.
Staff trying to cope with the onslaught.

Negatives:
Facility showing signs of age (scuffed furniture, cracked tiles in the tub enclosure, electrical faceplates misaligned, cabinet door hinges broken).
Room not ready at check-in time, apparently because of understaffing.
Room not serviced daily, apparently because of understaffing.
Breakfast really poor (stale cereal, rubbery eggs, few choices) and staff just unable to keep up.
AC blower motor went out, but they brought me a fan until they could replace the motor.
Weeds growing tall and healthy on the patio outside my room.
Front desk understaffed at check-in time, every day from what I could tell.

You get what you pay for.

I travel for work and am in a different hotel every week. I cannot recall being so disappointed by a hotel experience as I have been here.

To start, my room was freezing cold, even when I cranked up the heat. Also, the noise from the highway is excruciatingly loud. Then comes the horrifying customer service. I requested housekeeping one day, and then got a call later saying that because of the snow (it had snowed about a quarter of an inch the night before), they wouldn't be offering housekeeping but could send up some towels. I said ok, and requested the towels. By the end of the day, no towels had arrived and I had to call down to ask for towels again.

The final straw came when I arrived back from work and asked the front desk person if he had quarters for the washing machine. He said he couldn't open the register, and that it could be opened at 7 AM. What good does that do me?

Stay far, far, far away from this awful hotel.

Everyone we came in contact with with was pleasant and helpful. Masks were worn and hand sanitizer was available. The room was very nice but we felt it cold have been cleaned better before we arrived. I realize with covid, its difficult to maintain help, but during our stay there were a few items overlooked on the clean up. The breakfast was nice to have, but the eggs were hit or miss. There was always other choices.Great location. We would stay here again.

This was a perfect base to walk Seattle, as long as you don’t mind some hills. My family walked to museum of pop art, space needle, chihuly garden of glass, pike place, and pioneer square from here, as well as many restaurants north of the hotel in a hip urban stretch of road with lots of bars, cafes, and eateries.

The heated pool and hot tub were nice amenities. The service was good when we needed additional towels and the suite room was comfortable and well appointed for my wife and adult kids.

The only downside of the whole place is parking is expensive @ about $50 per night and the parking garage turns are very narrow so don’t bring a long car, but as previously mentioned, if you are in reasonable shape and don’t mind walking 15 to 30 minutes you can reach about everything by foot.

Stayed at this location many times. This visit was just for one night. The location of this Homewood is the primary reason I stay there when in town. The full kitchen is always a bonus. I arrived on an early flight & was greeted warmly on arrival. They allowed me an early check in which was appreciated. Parking is pricey, so something to be aware of when staying at this hotel. The first room was on the Pike St which had noisy street traffic. They moved me to a court yard facing room across the hall which was very nice. The only confusion I experienced was the room seal showing no one had entered the room was not on either of the rooms I entered. If the seal is going to be an advertised safety protocol the stickers should be utilized consistently - there were other rooms that had the stickers on the rooms.

The hotel is sandwiched between a busy intersection and a freeway - during our stay there was construction going on one night. It was impossible to sleep. The suites are spacious and staff are welcoming. However check your Bill as we had an error. The biggest reason I wouldn’t return is the ridiculous parking situation. There are not enough spots for all guests and this is not a neighborhood you want to walk around late at night searching for parking. The parking is incredibly tight and hard to find a spot (we had a compact car) with hotel access only on 2 of the 6 floors. The digital key - great during COVID- doesn’t work on the parking so you have to park in one of the 10 minute spots if available, then go to the desk to get a key, checkin (we did this online) and get a parking permit. Our suite was a bit old and tired but spotless. We had many problems while staying here but management fixed most of them. However, this was not a restful stay by any means. I am a Hilton Diamond member and there are just far better options in Seattle.

We do encourage the use of Hilton's digital key, as that will help to reduce contact in general, although if parking please do inform the front desk so we can add access. We do have lots of different procedures in place due to covid, such as consistently cleaning with hospital grade disinfectants, housekeeping service is limited so as to reduce contact (please see the front desk for these procedures), and we place your hot freshly made breakfast items in a to go box for you to enjoy in your rooms!

Diamond members receive a 48hour Room Guarantee, a Fifth standard Room Reward Night for Free, Second guest for Free, Late Checkout and complimentary upgrades based upon availability and request, and many other benefits such as choice of your room in the hotel, and you certainly earn points faster being a Diamond member. Unfortunately though, parking is limited in the downtown area and this is not one of the benefits at our location.

You might want to get a bit closer to Pike Place and the Space Needle. This location isn’t terrible, but it’s a decent hike to get down there. I would advise you, if at all possible, do not rent a car. The hotels charge upwards of $50 a day to park it in very tiny parking garages. Use Uber to get around. The city also has a light rail system to help you get around. It won’t be a disaster if you stay at this hotel. Just a longer walk.
