The Baroness Hotel offers apartment-style suites with stocked kitchens & dining areas (upon request), plus comfortable beds, free WiFi, and a polite/helpful staff. (Some of the suites offer a bedroom that is separated from the living/dining area & kitchen by a closing door, with a full bathroom adjacent.) Since our last visit in 2014, the hotel's interior has been upgraded... More

The suite is big, the twin bedroom suite has a small bathroom inside the room as well as a kitchen and living room. It was a good price for the location and the quality of the room. The coffee is small one decaf and one regular, would recommend to ask for more or bring your own.

We usually stay across the street at the Virginia Mason rooms but they were booked. I'm glad we had the opportunity to try the Baroness. It IS a bit funky but it's over 100 years old! I found that to be a good part of the charm. The rooms have all that is necessary for lengthy stays. Beds comfortable, linens... More

The fan blasting at full speed should have been a clue, but after more than 22 hours of travel my husband and I wanted nothing more than a shower, a drink and a bed to sleep in. The bedroom reeked of a noxious scent that smelled like a eucalyptus / floral / fungicide. It was so strong that even with... More

It is likely you'll see a lot of really mixed reviews on this hotel. If you are like me you might be a little bit nervous about where to stay. In this area, you have a choice... really expensive and pay for every little thing and have a tiny room or be a little flexible. This area is the medical... More

...like an elderly lady that puts on way too much makeup. First of all, there is no air conditioning in this old building. Each room is equipped with a cheap Lasko box fan. The room I am staying in at the moment has a fan without the bottom tabs (legs), so it topples over backward if you set it on... More

Hi Traveler - I'm sorry about your stay. We have plans in the near future to give our "elderly lady" a sprucing up (new paint, carpet and furniture) but no air conditioning. Our Inn and Baroness are very popular because Virginia Mason Medical Center is committed to providing an affordable accommodation option to medical guests and their families. We know... More

Great place to stay. Right across the street from Virgina Mason Hospital. Old hotel, comes with the coverup airfreshner smell. But the room was clean! Sirens every hour at night, but youre across from the ER. Friendly staff. Within walking distance to all your needs. I had a kitchen in mine. Just walked up the street and filled fridge with... I read some of the other reviews on here before checking in and was apprehensive. A ghost? What? Tub not draining? No way! I didn't find either! The Baroness is in a great little section of Seattle, I felt totally safe on my evening runs and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Yes, it is an older hotel so... More

As others have noted, this is a 30s vintage building which means great details, art deco design and generous rooms with lots of windows that open. Kitchenette was clean, worked fine, beds were comfy and the view from our 4th floor corner room was amazing, there were even jigsaw puzzles and books in the lobby. It was very warm when... More

We were passing through Seattle on our Eastcoast trip and I booked this hotel as it was one of the better value ones (hotel prices in Seattle are pretty pricey) I adored the fact that they were actual 1930's apartments. It's like stepping back in time! The room was clean, the bed comfortable and having a little kitchen was great.... More
