Good experience. King size bed room on the second floor. Comfortable room size with modern amenities. WiFi quality was good and I did not notice any connectivity issues during peak (night) hours. Would stay again.

Thanks GT, appreciate the notes. There are 4 great Kimptons in Seattle and a zillion around the world (do I hear Bali calling?) check out all the good stuff at Kimpton hotels and see where you can go next. The Alexis is just about to launch a great new look and feel and we are delighted that you liked the old, you will love the new. Tom.

My fiancée and I spent a night at the Kimpton Alexis for a short getaway, and it was a splendid experience! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and well-decorated, the staff are very nice and helpful, and there were multiple nice touches that made the Alexis stand out. Leanne, the

Seth! Thanks for the great note. Nope, no pool, but you are only 1/2 block from the waterfront and there is value in that! Like a lot of hotels in downtown Seattle we are only 6 floors high and that doesn't give you much view, but the location is first rate and the ability to walk to the stadium or Pike Place Market has great value and makes your Seattle adventures so much easier. Come back soon and we can give you all sorts of exciting things to do such as the very cool winery Browne Family Vineyards just down the street - my new favorite. Tom.

The location is within walking distance from Pike's Market. My room had a view of the street (which was a bit noisy on a Thursday evening about 3 am-for a bit). It was within walking distance of many restaurant and shopping choices. My room had a large bathroom, closet with a ro

Thanks Orrs, - as mentioned about 200 times here, the location of the hotel gives you a great launching point for your Seattle adventures. The Market, the Sports area, Pioneer Square, or all that shopping all within a stones throw from the hotel. Come chat with Leanne the concierge to the stars in our lobby and she will make your stay a touch more special with her great insight! Tom.

I enjoyed my stay with the Kimpton Alexis. Right in the middle of downtown. The bar downstairs is nice, the bed was comfy and staff were very friendly. It is a short walk to lots of restaurants and a nice japanese is right behind the hotel.

We Cwere on a trip to visit a family member with a new baby, so booked a executive suite as we knew we would be spending significant time in the room. This worked out perfectly. Loved the corner windows giving us two different views. Bedroom was small with very comfortable bed

Hello Rageisman! Thank you for the great note. very kind. Yes that switcheroo entrance happens a couple of times a day based on the requirements of the city to have 1st avenue as a major exit from the city at rush hour. Its a bit of a hassle but we work around it and always try. The hotel has 17 different room types and some of them on the Arlington side where you were are huge! glad you could enjoy it, the view will get better when the viaduct comes down Jan 11. check out kimptonhotels.com for all the info on the changes to the company and for updates on any of the 4 kimptons in Seattle! Tom.

What are your fitness facilities? How many elliptical trainers?
I would love to tell you that but the hotel staff at check in never even mentioned the workout room or bothered to tell us where everything was. I do not recommend staying here.

We (3 adults) currently have a reservation at the end of March for the one bedroom suite. I called the hotel asking if this suite had a pull out sofa. The gal was hard to understand and said that "some" of the one bedroom suites have pull out sofa beds but not all. When we arrive they would do their best to put us in one that had it already in there but if not, they could bring up a fold up cot since there was enough room for one. I do not want a cot for the third adult and feel that if the hotel cannot guarantee that we would have a pull out sofa, I would be forced to cancel the reservation and stay somewhere else. I also asked for a pull out sofa on the "comments" section of the reservation. I was very disappointed with my phone call to the hotel. Can anyone from the hotel address my issue? Thank you.
Hi there - it may be a better idea to move you into an Executive Suite to ensure you get exactly what you need. But if you want to stay in the one bedroom, I would be happy to block you into the room with the sofa bed. Can you send me an email with your reservation details so I can get everything taken care of for you? I can't post my email address here because of posting guidelines, but if you call the hotel they can get it for you. Thanks!

I've read on other review sites that the thermostats don't go below 68. is that true? I sleep best when it's cool (65 or lower) so if this is the case I'll have to stay elsewhere. thanks
Hi there! The thermostats do go below 68 degrees, but can get a little tricky if it is extra cold outside. There have been times when the A/C locks up when it is blowing extra cold air and it is really cold outside. (the equipment on the roof runs the main system). That being said, you can always request a room in the South tower of the building where all of the windows open. Lots of people prefer this option anyway so that they can have a cool room and get some fresh air as well.

Is there on-site parking for this hotel?
There is valet parking here at the hotel - with tax it is $52.51 per night. We do offer a few other options - there is an open lot behind the hotel off of Western Ave that charges $38 per day. This is great if you are planning on leaving the vehicle parked. The valet is a better option if you will be taking the car in and out during your visit. Hope this helps!
