This is not up to the standard of a Kimpton hotel the reception area was very small there were very limited facilities. We stayed for 7 nights and they do not service the rooms we had to keep asking at reception for things one day we asked for fresh sheets and they were just left on our bed. If I wanted to make my own bed I would have stayed at home. There is also no breakfast and there is nowhere local to get breakfast. Overall I would stay at another hotel. The location is fairly good and some staff very friendly.
I booked this as a surprise staycation for my fiance. He hadn't had a day off in a long time. Thought this would be fun to get out of the house. I booked on hotelsTonight.com Later called the hotel to see about have an amenity brought to the room. I wasn't epexcting much because it was a hotelstonight booking and last minute. Natalie, at the front desk answer and was FANTASTIC. She verified my booking and took care of the amenity request. She was sweet and accommodating. When we got to the hotel, she was there to great us, upgraded our room too ( wow). we had such a nice time. The hotel also offered a happy hour in the lobby, wine and mingle with other guests. I'm really happy with this hotel, would definitely stay there again. thank you Natalie for everything :-)
Only clean rooms when you check out! Got to make my bed etc.. I'm on holiday - would like room serviced! No coffee making facilities in room - you have to ask !! Then they say oh ok !! Checking in at reception next to dog water bowls and guests checking in with cats and their litter trays !! Rooms were usual standard . Not my idea of a city holiday hotel. Maybe good for some but not for me .
It was OK but not great. The room was comfortable and not too noisy given it was close to an elevator. No housekeeping during our stay which didn't particularly bother me but was unexpected (I did overhear someone complaining at reception so wasn't too surprised). Whilst there's an adjoining restaurant, there aren't any other facilities beyond a small reception area. The valet was very helpful and delivered great service.
The Kimpton Vintage is located quite convenient near the famous and nice public library close to the Waterfront and Pike Market as well as the Westlake Center, a nice small shopping center and a place of several public transports. The rooms are well equipped and everything worked fine, the design is certainly not the most modern, but there is a reason that the hotel is called "Vintage" and its quite nice. The Hotel also hosts an Italian restaurant but at least when I was there did not offer breakfast. The problem with the Hotel is the staff, at least when I was there. They only clean the rooms on request. This is ok for me, especially if - like I recently had it in a Hilton Hotel - the Hotel donates the savings, plants trees from it or so and does not just save cost to increase the margin under the cover of the environment. BUT: Guests must be made aware of this! When I booked there was no hint on the website and I was not informed about it when I checked in. So when I returned after my first day, my room was not cleaned - but in the expectation of a cleaning I had thrown my towels on the ground. So I went to reception to complain and they explained to me that they only do it upon request. I complained that they did not tell me and said that I want it done every day from now on. They confirmed and took a note. When I returned the next afternoon, it was again not cleaned. Now I was pretty upset, complained again, but all that the guy at reception could say that he does not think he checked me in because he would have told me for sure. Wow, that was clever and helpful. He promised that it will be done next day and offered me a free drink from the shop (which I should have gotten upon arrival anyway because of my status in IHG). Frankly spoken, seeing the fact that they failed twice I did not find that sufficient. At least, the next afternoon, the room was cleaned. I had given a feedback also on the IHG Feedback page about a week ago and had market that I would like to get a comment from the hotel. The Hotel did not see a need to comment yet, which somehow fits into the overall picture of the staff.…
I do not understand the other reviews, as not at all the experience I had. This is not even on par with national chains. I am a seasoned traveler (personal & business). A boutique hotel without the coolness and amenities Located in an unsafe part of town a good distance from any places to eat Site says they have a bar. They don’t No coffee in room. No bottled water. Only 2 glasses in room. Restaurant only open limited days Wed – Sat 5-10 pm – so no bar access, no place to get breakfast or lunch in hotel. Site says $10 F&B credit to our restaurant, no such credit was given. Plus despite the Proof of Vax required for all Seattle restaurants this one did not enforce. Why do they not post on their website restaurant hours of operation? Arrived after a long day of travel and nowhere to get food or a cocktail. So frustrating! Rooms are small despite getting a corner room Couch was saggy and uncomfortable Not all the channels worked on the TV – said unable to access No ceiling lights Room was dark when I came in. Extremely small bath not big enough for 2 No mini bar but listed as having No room service Very very small lobby sitting area. Epic fail. And will not be back…
This is my fourth stay at this hotel with my wife or friends. This last visit was after the renovations in the reception area. It rained four out of the five days on this trip. The sunshine in all of this was the hotel staff and especiallyMikala T. She welcomed my buddy and I with a big smile and sent a bottle of red wine to the room when she knew I was a vet and it was just before the 11th. (67-69). The room was spotless and comfortable with a view of the federal courthouse. The wine our was great and enjoyable by the fireplace watching the rain fall! I will stay there on my next visit with family or friends.
We booked the room last minute after a show. We arrived late in the night and Lameka took great care of us. She made us feel comfortable and welcome. We were blown away by the room. It was clean and huge! The bed was cozy and we didn’t want to leave. We will be back next time we’re in town!
Wow! The team handled the busy hawks and 49ers game like they had been doing it for 20 years. The valet was prompt even though you could see them running crazy and the front desk manager Mikala handled all the guests quickly- even with their crazy demands we were over hearing. Overnight team always greater us. Would definitely stay here again for a busy weekend in the city!
Had a really lovely time at the Vintage. Mikala at the front desk took great care of us, making sure we had pet water dishes. The room was spotless, the beds were heavenly and the view of the public library was great. What a cool building that is! Mikala even recommended a cozy and affordable spot for pizza and cocktails right around the corner. Gary the valet was also so helpful and courteous. Great service. I’d definitely stay here again.
