I paid $300 a night for the room (friends paid $400) and the only thing you're paying for is location - near UW. Four story hotel that the elevator took 20 seconds to traverse four floors. The hallway noise comes into the room because I could see light around all four sides of the door. No cleaning unless you ask for it. No restaurant, the fitness center is two blocks away at their other location. Really nice people at the front desk. Nice breakfast place next door. That's it.
I have a 100% disabled wife so this situation was an additional problem. I was sent an email asking what time I was arriving and I replied 2:00 pm. I arrived at about 2:15 to 2:30 and told that my room was not ready. I was told that they would have my room ready asap and was told in a condescending tone that “we only guarantee that the room would be ready by 4:00. I replied, why did you ask what time I was arriving? There was no reply as that time being unacceptable. We had to wait in the car as my wife needs to recline or lay flat. We would have waited at home another couple of hours to leave as we were trying to avoid traffic. I waited until 4:00 and went to check in. My room was still not ready. I was offered a cookie for the inconvenience. Really? The cookie tasted great though. After over 2 hours waiting in the car the room was finally ready. It was 4:45. Not 4:00 as promised. Plus, room service was only done every other day. I have stayed in several Pineapple inns and have been more than happy with my room, not this time.…
The location for UW graduation was excellent. The neighborhood is very walkable. There was adequate parking, the room was spacious, staff were friendly, robes are soft and the pool is cold! I appreciated the drink voucher too.
The walls and floors are thin and you can hear everyone walking and talking. They give you a card that cleaning will be done every other day after the 2nd day. On the 3rd day we asked why our room was not cleaned the front desk said it is cleaned only if we ask, which is not what the card says. The front desk said he would put in a request for the 4th day. The room was never cleaned in our 5 night stay. They ask you to save water and hang your towels but there are no towel bars to hang the towels.
Two night stay to pack up our daughter and bring her home from UW for the summer. Location couldn't be better for visiting parents. No need to rent a car! Light rail from airport to U. District and short walk to hotel. Room was small but great decor with the most comfortable bed. Staff was great and explained all the perks included with the stay. Will definately stay again and will book early (fills fast for UW events!).
Great business location hotel for work in UW district. Staff are helpful, professional and happy. Stayed here 3xs in past two months. Consistent in quality, cleanliness and safe location. Stay in room 234 with coffee pot (ample supply of coffee), refrigerator, couch, coffee table, and dining table. Excellent space for working in if needed.
Comfortable stay; easy check in/out; climate controls easy to use; great bed, great lighting; low street noise given location on Roosevelt; really easy to walk to campus and other restaurants; Keurig worked well; bring your HDMI adapter to watch your streaming service through the TV: there’s a designed port near the desk for that purpose!!!
Our every need was met during our nine night medical stay; a great room rate, a lovely welcoming note from management, a large room with a great view and exemplary support from staff. I would not hesitate to recommend.
This hotel is in a great location and the staff was great. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was small but very comfortable and had all of the amenities you would need. I travelled with a dog and they loved her and spoiled her.
This hotel is well situated for visitors to U W, tourists and anyone who wants easy access to different areas of the city. This hotel is clean and inviting with reasonable rates but the real draw is the service. I travel a lot and this hotel is unmatched for its fabulous customer service. The staff is all wonderful but I have to give a shout out to Sam who always makes us feel especially valued and welcome. Thanks to everyone at the University Inn for their exceptional service.
