Nestled near the iconic Space Needle, the Travelodge by Wyndham Seattle offers visitors a budget-friendly stay, according to numerous guests. While the hotel earns praise for its clean and inviting atmosphere and is appreciated for its convenient location, some visitors have highlighted the need for updates throughout the property. The rooms, often described as outdated, are seen as adequate for brief visits. Despite the occasional critique regarding staff service and dated amenities, the hotel's value and the inclusion of a grab-and-go breakfast resonate positively with many travelers.

There is now a parking fee compare to 3 years ago when we were here for a cruise. $15 plus tax might not be bad compare to other hotels nearby but with the price we paid per night for this mediocre hotel, ridiculous. Time to find another hotel next time. Parking area hasn’t change, rough and tight. Upon entering our room, hot. A/C is weak. Could it be a dirty filter status? The slider had been taped up around. We’d found bunch of crumbs on the floor. Bed side is pretty close to the window and the other bed near the bathroom. Shower is narrow but drainage is not clogged up. Toilet is somewhat slow to flush. I have to hold the lever to ensure a good flush. I wish I could do the same with the dispensers for hair and body essentials. They were all empty. It has small closet with security box, iron/iron board, suitcase stand, and an extra pillow. Bed is okay. It has cable with HBO channels but it’s spotty sometimes like its wifi. Fitness center is good for light work out if unsanitized dumbbells and sticky elliptical machine handles are not an issue. There is nowhere to find towels, sanitizing/cleaning wipes, and drinking water. Outside the door is the stickiest floor, nasty. Pool looks okay but seems never been maintain. Front desk was great checking us in and helping us what we needed. Many attractions are within a mile. No vehicle requires for abled bodies.

The room was comfortable; however, the hotel has seen better days. The room's furniture showed signs of wear & tear AND the shower floor had stains. The floors are thin, so I could hear people above me (I was on the third floor) . In addition, the continental breakfast ended 02/01/20; but the rooms have mini-fridges, which will offset the lack of a continental breakfast (which was good!). The staff was helpful and friendly. As the hotel is in a great location and I felt relatively safe, I would stay at the hotel again.

Older motel, but clean, decent value. Comfortable beds. Good location for all the touristy activities. Courteous staff. Understand the outdoor pool would be closed in April, but wish the hot tub could have been open. Also too bad the breakfast room was still closed due to public health emergency. Could have been a little quieter - the lighter sleeper woke each night due to laughter or music from neighboring rooms, but it didn't bother the other family members. Parking at motel was $10/day - was unaware of fee until check in, but was always able to find a space and the car remained secure.

This hotel was run down, needs to be renovated and remodeled. The light above the desk in our room did not work. When you turn on the the bathroom shower there was very little water. Room smelled a little bit of mold and the bathroom sink was difficult to turn on the water. Chair has a tear with duct tape on it. Had to pay for parking. Staff seemed ok but gave us a grab and go breakfast with a bottle of water, granola bar, and an old apple. The price you pay is not worth the stay here. I prefer you go find another hotel that treats you well and gives you the feel of home - you will definitely not find that at this hotel. Being a Wyndam hotel, I thought it was a disgrace to have people stay in a rundown hotel. Just being honest. Don't waste your time or money - it's not worth it.

My daughter and her family stayed at this location to meet with friends from California and were embarrassed by the condition of the room. They found faucets malfunctioning, room in need of attention and were hoping for improvement for next visit. I have reserved another stay for the Spring break in 2020 and hope that care and attention have improved.

This hotel is in an ideal location to everything downtown. The rooms themselves need a little attention as there is obvious wear and tear but the bed was comfortable and everything worked. Hot water takes a long time, 10 minutes, to kick in but it is manageable.
Staff is super responsive and provides great customer service. They responded to every question and when we had a small issue in our room they fixed it immediately.
Would stay here again

A good, clean place to stay for your trip in Seattle. Check-in was quick and simple, room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Only issue with the room was that the main electrical socket was not working, so we had to get a bit creative with our charging requirements, but we managed easily.
We did not have any breakfast included in our booking, but a "to go" breakfast was offered free of charge, so it was a nice surprise.
Property is just 5 minute walk from the space needle. From there you can take the monorail to Westlake and downtown, or you can catch the public bus (easy and on time) to any location you need to visit.

Great price for the room being that it’s Seattle and beside the space needle. Clean and quiet. It’s a good location for everything. Staff was good, no complaints. The grab and go breakfast wasn’t bad but other guest were cherry-picking through the bags which was unfortunate.

Location is 5 min walk. dist to the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens & MoPop (buy City Pass for 5 attractions for $ 109). 15-20 min walk to Pikes & many site seeing in area such as Sculpture Park, Aquarium, Waterfront etc. Walking allows you to see many different things in the area. Parking in the area is cheap (mostly $0.50/hr) if you drive to diff locations. Parking at Travelodge is $10/day. Parking in front and a row of parking in back. Maybe about 20 to 30 parking spaces. If lots fill up, staff will help you figure out where to park in the lot. Safe area. Avoid 3rd Street if walking. Staff are awesome and helpful. 24/7 someone at front desk monitoring the entry doors. Room decent. Bed super comfy. Bathroom small. Liked the fact it was enclosed with elevator and hallway to room. Free rollaway beds available. Needs an overall update. Free hardboiled eggs, yogurt, and water. Can vary based on Covid Modifications. Coffee, tea, water dispenser in main lobby. 2 to 3 tables. Great view of Space Needle from the room. Would stay here again.

New York City, New York24 contributions40 helpful votes
I don't know if they have a pool or jacuzzi, but I made the mistake of staying at this hotel and I can tell you DO NOT STAY THERE. It's disgusting, lots of shady characters roaming around smoking in the hallways (pot and cigarettes). Filthy, run down and in a VERY BAD neighborhood. Avoid at all costs.

Does this Hotel let you pay cash for room and damage deposit on check in?
Answer from Ray
3 contributions3 helpful votes
No, but they ask for credit card upon checkin. We just found out today, about 7 days after check out that they charged us A$4.42 for something, we haven’t had a chance to find out what is for as yet! Our view hasn’t changed about this hotel, the worst we have ever struck! If I had the opportunity to manage this hotel, I would replace all the staff & under go a complete refurbishment.
