Great food, coffee, reasonable price and great service. Stopped in for coffee and end up with the best chowder and the nachos were huge. One serve will feed two adults easily and tasted delicious. An excellent meal.

We simple loved the Alice room. It was very nostalgic and comfortable. Even though we live in Southeast, Ak. This was our first trip to Skagway and truly a memorable one. The breakfast and everyone at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. We hope to see you next year!

Came in on motorcycles and the first thing the manager did is have us move the bikes to a small alcove behind the inn; this way they would be away from prying eyes. He also put us near a rear entrance close to our room. The rooms have great character; Dottie's room had the decor of its time- except for... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the rooms were small but comfortable, quaint and had furnishings in keeping with the late 1800's, each room had a woman's name instead of a number, again reminding us of its former life! The man on front desk was very helpful when booking and offered us a lift to and from the train station, which... More

Reasonable accommodations, considering the building is over 100 years old. The rooms are small and not all have bathrooms, but it is every bit as good as I expected it to be and I would definitely stay there again. The owner was very helpful and provided transportation to trail heads and the airport. The rooms are on the second floor... More

The Bistro is connected to the Inn but accessible from Broadway. Good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. Both of our main dishes were very tasty and plentiful. Finally the Bread Pudding was some of the best I have had in a long time. Well worth a try.

Though I enjoyed the the hotel ambience, Carl and his staff were absolutely fantastic! Ride to the ferry? No problem! Ride to the helicopter pad? No problem! Hotel food? Delicious! It was just a fun, relaxing time. I would absolutely recommend the Historic Skagway Hotel and I look forward to my return visit!

We were here for the day from a cruise ship & a tour of White Pass & Yukon. At end of day spent walking through town for about 2 hours before getting back on ship. Wanted an adult beverage but bigger "watering holes" were jammed. Happened upon this Inn which serves meals as well as drinks inside and outside. As... More

The room had cob webs on the walls, previous guests hair and soap bar in the tub. The faucet on tub leaked badly and sprayed water all over. The shower curtain was very dirty. The Finnish on the antique tub was compleatly gone. The bed was clean and comfortable. The phone did not work. The fan did not work. The... More

Overall we had a wonderful stay, the service and quality were excellent. We really enjoyed the historic feel of the Inn. They had beautiful gardens and the service was very, very good. The owners and management have done a great job to preserve the historic elements of the building right down to some fine details in the room. It's a... More
