Really enjoyed our short stay. Lovely hotel , fantastic setting calm and peaceful hidden away in the town. Overlooking the bay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing meal in the restaurant. Short walk to the bay with friendly cafes.

Beautifully situated in its own grounds with large pool and sea views this former cloister has many period features with large comfortably furnished rooms and exquisite attached restaurant. Friendly staff make this an ideal holiday retreat or centre for exploring South West Finistere.

A very good location, near the port and the city center but in a very quiet area. A very great heated outdoor pool with a terrace overlooking the bay of Douarnenez ! The breakfast room is beautiful. For the breakfast I particularly noted the quality and choice of french cheese. A very good service and welcome from the staff.

Vallombreuses is a quiet plce in the middle of the town. Large parking aerea, swimmingpool in the garden and a terrace that looks over the bay. Rooms at groundlevel are the best : hall, toilet, bathroom, bedroom, salon and terras to the garden. The personal is friendly. Only breakfast was a disaster : hard bread, uneatable fruit, you have to...

Recommanded! Great setting in and around a stately house, comfortable room and very good and friendly service. Good restaurant too. We picked it from a booking site and felt very lucky indeed to have landed here.

Booked through Brittany Ferries for three nights. Our room had a nice deep bath and a hand held shower attachment which was fine for us but maybe not for others. We had twin beds which were tiny (like on a boat) and there was a strong smell in the room of probably the cleaners trying to clean up the carpet....

I got the distinct impression that this hotel was a little like Miss Haversham in Dickens' Great Expectations... the elegance was there, it was just a tad past it's sell-by date. Our room was comfortable enough, but paintwork was scuffed and the window latch was broken, so that anything more than a slight breeze rattled the windows. The view over...

We booked this hotel as part of an 8 night stay in Brittany through Brittany Ferries. We were looking forward to our stay in this hotel but were disappointed. The hotel has good parking, pleasant gardens and we had a room with a balcony. It was however, the only hotel we stayed in with no in room coffee/tea making facilities...

Some pros- plenty of parking, nice large bed (a rarity in France and we did have to battle to get it. Some cons- disorganised staff- a battle to get anything previously agreed on, a rotating door of different people to deal with, multiple over charges on bill (these were happily corrected once pointed out), the toilet smelled of sewerage it...
