This property offers not only a unique Chambre d'Hôtes but also a unique Table d'Hôtes! Owners Catherine en Éric Marchal take care of everything and join their guests at their table. Their hospitality is endless and together with the other very friendly, talkative and interesting guest we had a truly wonderful evening. Room was very comfortable (with private terrace). Éric...

We stayed for three nights at La Forestiere. What a wonderful experience! La Forestiere is located in the Vosges, in a lovely little town. Around you are the mountains and the forests, with walking trails and beautiful views. It's an easy drive down to the Alsace wine route, and to Strasbourg and Colmar. We went on a hike right near...

It is the third time that we stayed at the Forestière Chambres d'Hôtes in Alsace and, this October 2014, we stayed for three days: a pure delight. The property and its owners-hosts, Catherine and Eric, are just what you can dream of. Comfort, quality, taste, space and peace in the bedrooms. Warmth, intelligence, excellent conversations, meals and wines at the...

We stayed 5 nights in Sept 2014. This B&B is set in the foothills of the Vosges mountains, in a peaceful location amongst sub alpine pastures, grazed by Vosgien cattle. Great welcome, soon sat down outside with a drink. The highlights were the evening meals prepared so well and seemingly effortlessly by Catherine. She and her husband Eric would sit...

La Forestiere is exactly how a Chambres D'Hotes should be run: One that is professional, but with the personal touch of its owners. It is a warm and welcoming accommodation, high in the hills near the village of Hohwald. The rooms are spacious, well designed and appointed, with the amenities one would expect of a high quality bed and breakfast....

We had a lovely stay at La Forestiere......everything was of such a high quality. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are lovely and Catherine and her husband clearly put a lot of effort into the place. The guests dinner we booked was very, very good and we even ended up buying some of the wine that was served during the...

We really enjoyed our stay at La Forestiere - everything was of a very high standard - rooms, breakfast & really attentive hosts. We have stayed in Alsace several times before but this was a new location for us, a little away from the very touristy villages. We very much enjoyed the walks in the area and really liked the...

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay with Catherine and Erik. They were fabulous hosts and every morning Catherine was EXCEPTIONAL helpful in sending us off to various places. Great suggestions to fine tune our rough itinerary. The Guests Dinner was incredible and since it was on Bastille Night, extra special to be there. The rooms are LARGE and...

We spent two nights and had dinner once at La Forestiere and it was just great. Catherine does an amazing job at making everyone comfortable and at cooking great alsatian food using local game (we even had smoked wild boar ham for breakfast!). She serves the best breakfast we've had in a B&B, ever - the number of items on...

We spent three nights here and could easily have stayed longer. The apartments are clean and modern with several windows overlooking the stunning outdoors. Breakfasts are held around a big table in the main house and are a real treat : not only fresh bread and croissants, but wonderful homemade cake or crepes. Catherine, the owner, will happily provide information...
