We stayed at the Hotel Seward recently (mid-September 2014) for a group meeting and I can't say enough good things about this hotel. In particular, I brought my dog (under 25 lbs) and we had a pet room. My experience is usually hit and miss with Pet Rooms, but I in no way felt like I was getting less than...

We held a retreat at the Hotel Seward for a staff of 20+. Everyone was very happy with their rooms, breakfast was fantastic and our meeting room was perfect. The hotel crew were always wonderful to work with, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being with in walking distance of everything, and even when we needed a quick ride to...

Had a great experience for a 3 night stay in September '14. Had one of the rooms with a shared bathroom in the old part of the hotel. Was perfectly comfortable and a good price at $70 per night. The salmon I got at their restaurant was some of the best I've ever had. They provided excellent advice on other...

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Steward. The location is close to the water and great places to eat. You can also walk to the museum from the hotel. The only complaint was lumpy pillows. I would give it a five if the just replaced the pillows.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Seward and at dinner twice at Gene's Place. It was a very nicely run historic hotel and we met Mary the owner a few times during our stay. She was very welcoming and told us of the history of the hotel. We ate dinner on two occasions in the...

It was a nice stay in an historical hotel, +100 years old. We had a nice room with two queen size beds which were a bit too soft. There are no air-conditions in the rooms, which are not necessary in most of the summer days, but if you are lucky and you have a beautiful summer day (+75F) you will...

We stayed one might just prior to a cruise. Hotel has two sections. Ask for a room with a view of the bay, larger rooms with mini refrigerator. HS also has rooms in the historical wing at lower rates. Service was great. They met our train in the morning and gave us transportation to the hotel. Departure day, the hotel...

Only stayed one night, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lobby is eclectic and the rooms are like stepping back in time. But very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Insulated windows shut out any street noise, of which there is hardly any. Nice view, great location, very clean. Highly recommended, especially if you are interested is something other than a chain hotel....

My wife and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend this year and were very happy we picked this as our hotel. The location is wonderful with many restaurants, bars and activities within walking distance. The hotel is Victorian in style and the room we had was wonderful. Plenty of room with chairs for sitting and a electric fireplace that...
