What a fun way to experience the beautiful town of Seward. From the great views, helpful/friendly staff, to the unique lodging experience. My parent stayed in a nicer room that had two full beds and their own bathroom, however my brother and I stayed in a small room with twin beds and the bath room was across the hall. The...

First time visiting Seward. Many friends born there. Good to connect the area. Lovely hotel full of history and charm. Was able to take my dog. Didn't interact much with staff, but clean and very decorative.

My wife and I stayed at HS for two days. We booked a queen bed with private bath on historic side. However, we found that the bath is not really private because there is another door connected to the other room. And we can hear clearly people talking in that room, which means they can clearly hear what is going...

Fancy decorated rooms, the lobby is like a museum with a nice fireplace, the beds very comfortable and rooms well set up including a microwave, small refridge, and TV. Close to the SeaLife Center and a 10 minute walk to all the tours at the marina.

The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel room beds I have ever slept in. I would stay here again, but don't count on getting a particular room, even if requested. I requested a particular room when I booked the room. A note was placed on my reservation not to move me. However, when I arrived, I realized that...

Stayed for a weekend trip. Front desk was hospitable, room was well appointed (Alaska Wing), In-house restaurant was convenient. We had no problems during our stay and we would definitely come back. Well kept!

Staff was aloof. We were ready to check out and the clerk was on the phone and never acknowledged us. No complementary breakfast, no ice machine on third floor, lobby is overly decorated. The room was great. Very clean, upgraded, nice furniture.

We stayed for one night and we're extremely pleased with the cleanliness and atmosphere. It has a lovely Victorian theme and plenty of history throughout. The staff was very courteous and helpful and it was convenient to have breakfast at the in house little restaurant named after the previous owner. Excellent food! I highly recommend the "Marks omelette"!!!
