My wife and I visited Seward and Orca Islands in June of 2014. We don't know how to put it into words, Susan and Dennis are passionate, professional, talented as can be, and truly great people who share with visitors a very special place. My wife and I have never done resort stay over $200 a night, we are frugal,...

We visited Orca Island Cabins late in August and really did not know what to expect. What we found when we arrived was nothing short of spectacular. Dennis and Susan, the owners, do a fantastic job making sure guests feel welcome and are comfortable. Our yurt was perched above the water with a wonderful little deck which had a propane...

Words and pictures do no justice to this serene setting. The owners and operators of this get away prepare you well for this isolated location. The yurts are very comfortable, private and all have a fantastic view of this Alaska cove. Mother Nature provides all the entertainment you need for this trip. Do not hesitate to book this adventure.

I recommend staying at Orca Island Cabins because: 1. The views and water color are beautiful. 2. We saw marine wildlife up close. There was a sea lion about 30 feet from our kayak tossing and catching a fish. There were a number of harbor seals who came to visit. We kayaked among a pod of porpoises. Saw a waterfall/river...

We visited during the 2nd week of August for one night with our 3 children ages 10, 12, & 15. We opted for 2 yurts since there were 5 of us. Five people in one yurt would have been doable for one night but very cramped leaving no floor space. Certainly spacious enough for 3 or 4 people. The yurts...

First I want to say that the owners are fabulous!! I just was. Ot sure of a couple of things before I went that would sway my depiction... 1) it rains ALL the time here (apparently) 2) you can hear everything from a yurt (rain, wind, etc) 3) the only activities to do here are kayaking (in freezing water filled...

This place was amazing. My family and I just spent 10 days touring the Kenai penn and this was by far the highlight of out trip. The location is indescribable, no doubt one of the prettiest places I have ever been. The yurts are super comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Tons of great toys; kayaks, paddleboards, fishing gear, etc....

Arriving to the incredibly wonderful owners and family like helpers, Janet and Yen..you automatically know your somewhere special. The attention that the owners have given to the sturdiness of the bridge and beautiful walkway, the yurt and everything built with love and caring all over the island. This is a true experience that the unselfish owners have provided to the...

Kind of expensive, but a treat. Had the place to ourselves. Pristine area. Felt like being out in wilderness but really not too far away! The yurt was well appointed, warm & comfortable. I'll certainly go back.
