Swan Nest Inn is a small bed and breakfast located in the upper story of a building. The rooms are small and cozy. Some have lofts with one or two beds. The lofts are best for small children, but our grown daughter found the bed (mattress) in the loft comfortable. However, she could not stand up there and bumped her...

We spent three nights here during a fishing trip. We had a comfortable enough experience. Sarah was a very nice host, and the blueberry bread she made in the morning was delicious. The use of refrigerator/freezer space was a plus, as was the access to hot water, filtered water, and a microwave. The downside was that I poked myself on...

I am glad that lots of people who have stayed at A Swan Nest Inn liked it so much. To us, it was just OK. I would characterize the Inn as a hostel for 20 somethings or for aging hippies. The outside of the hotel, the office, the TV room, etc. are pretty funky. The rooms are better, but the...

We spent 3 nights at the Swan's Nest with another couple and were fortunate to be there over the 4th of July. Nick was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable about the local events and attractions. Accommodations were prefect, just a little rustic and extremely well done. As part of our time in Seward, we climbed Marathon Mountain just outside of...

We stayed for one night, the room was great, loved the decor. The communal dining area was great place to sit & read or catch up with other travellers. We met and spent a few hours talking to a lovely couple from the US. Nick the host was brilliant, he explained everything, made you feel very comfortable and was willing...

This looks like an old office type building. You walk up the outside of the building to the second floor where the rooms are located. I shared a room with a friend - she slept down stairs in the double bed and I slept in the loft which had 2 twin beds on the floor. There was enough room to...

I stayed at the Swan Nest Inn for two nights in May 2013. The room had a double bed and a loft with two single mattresses. The rooms weren't large, but the space was well used and the communal lounge and TV room were really comfy. The kitchen was communal but we were welcomed to use it. The entire inn...

Great for a one-night stay. For the price, I have no real complaints! Rooms were small, but very nice and clean. We had a view of the ocean that was beautiful. The location was excellent; we just walked out the door to explore Seward. And the little breakfast that was provided was a nice plus. Walls are very thin.

We stayed just one night prior to the cruise and would definitely recommend this place. Excellent location, good price and quaint hand-made furniture in the bedrooms. Their continental breakfast was a bonus too. The only thing is the walls are kinda thin so would request staying away from the eating area.

What a nice hotel in downtown Seward. You may be put off by the first impression outside but the inside looks very adequate. Everything is very clean and looks wel maintained. The hotel matched our expectations according to the price we paid for the room. We went on a 11 day individual Alaska.I booked all the hotels during our trip...
