We were in Seward for one night to visit the area and to go on the Major Marine fjord cruise (which we also highly highly recommend). We had a great stay! At check in - the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We had an...More
This hotel was a nice place to stay. They picked our luggage up directly from the train so we didn't have to worry with it. They also provided a shuttle from the boat docks to the hotel. The front desk guys were super helpful and...More
We enjoyed our stay here very much! The staff were great! All of them. They had to deal with some very “entitled” guests during our stay and they were so cordial and polite even though there was nothing they could do to accommodate the early...More

The hotel is an easy walk to the Sealife Center that is well worth a visit. It's also only a few blocks from the Seward History Museum that chronicles the 1964 earthquake and tsunami. Also worth a visit. The hotel does offer a free shuttle to the other end of town. We spent three days there and did not have a car. We got along just fine. If you are coming/going on a ship or the train, contact the hotel ahead of time to let them know and they will arrange a free pickup for you. Nice little restaurant right across the street for dinner. Small menu, but everything was delicious!
