Their website is accurate ( outlets for each bed to charge your phone or extra battery)
Plenty of room under the bed for luggage and standing lockers with keyed locks included.
Take a Mylar blanket to sleep at night, if the air conditioner and ceiling fan is too cold for you.
Cons: I’ve stayed at hostels all over the world and the staff here is the worst I’ve ever seen. Since it’s a small place there is only 1 staff member on at a time but it’s often hard to tell who that staff member is because they mostly spend their time socializing with guests. They act like it’s a frat house and not a job. At 11 pm our last night, one of the staff members came into our room (where 5 people were sleeping) to show a late check in her bunk. She yelled “Why is the door locked? Who keeps locking this door?” before coming in. She then continued to loudly talk to the new guest like the rest of us weren’t trying to sleep. We also had issues trying to charge our EV rental car. Before getting the car, we asked a staff member if it would be ok to plug it in at the hostel and they said yes. (It was the low level charger with a standard plug) The next staff member to come on shift unplugged our vehicle so it didn’t charge. She wouldn’t let us plug it back in because “electricity is too expensive.” We ended up returning the car and losing money because of this.
Bottom line: stay here if want somewhere clean and safe to stay but don’t care about customer service.
My fiancé and I booked a mixed 4-person room for 2 nights months in advance since there were no privates. However when we arrived to check in, the staff said they could not honor our original booking.
Instead we were separated. She was rebooked into an 8-person room while I was rebooked into a different 4-person room.
The booking was placed months in advance. We even called in ahead of time and left a note in the booking. The only plus side is that Jason and the staff were all very nice.
For any lodging, one of your fundamental jobs you can’t screw up is the booking. For travelers arriving late at night, you literally have no choice but to deal with what you have and that was the situation we unfortunately found ourselves in with this place. Avoid this place.
There is a good atmosphere here and a good, relaxed welcome from the manager on arrival.
The room was very basic but clean.
The shower and toilets were also very clean and easy to maintain your privacy.
The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils and appliances and again everything was clean.
There are "free food" sections in the fridge and cupboard.
We also made use of the free body board and beach towel loaning.
You can rental snorkel here much cheaper than on the beach.
Overall we were really pleased we chose to stay here and recommend it to other backpackers.
Upon arrival it was hard to find a person to check on because the "office" is in the kitchen -- which is fine if I'd known! There were quite a few people there so I wandered around until a staffer member noticed I wanted to check in. After that it was smooth sailing.
Aside from all that, the facilities were good and staff was very friendly! They do have parking, and there's a stop for the trolley right out front.

A+++
"Not that many food options outside the hostel. Local liquor stores are very limited."Read full review
