The View Does NOT Disappoint! The Sea Village is a bit older, yes, but RIGHT by the ocean! I took a me trip and stayed in 4210, second floor. The unit was a bit dated with furniture that really should be cleaned/replaced. I slept on the sofa bed so I could hear the surf. Definitely needs replaced or at least cleaned. Kitchen is updated, well-stocked. The washer was nonfunctional. I found the screen door off it's rollers. The property mgmt team was responsive and attentive. The place was clean. (but the furniture and rugs should be washed/replaced). Lanai is heavenly! No AC, but I didn't mind that. They do supply fans, however, they were older, dusty, need to replace. Upstairs tenants were elephants, pretty sure. No elevator, so you'll schlep your stuffs up there. Pool is small but nice. Hot tub same. The property mgmt company was very accommodating; I came down sick 4 days into my stay, asked for late check out and able to do so (for a fee). Otherwise Check out is 10 am, which is a bit early. Wifi was good. They were doing contruction to this building my last few days-noisy, and above my lanai, but it is what it is. Plenty of parking and not too far from town. Coffee place near the front of of complex is LOVELY! (Green Flash Coffee). Would I stay here again? Yes, but you don't get sun till afternoon hours on the lanai. Not a fan of having to do dishes, take the trashout, etc, while on vacation. But it is the trend.

We stayed as a family of five at the Sea Village in Kona, Hawaii. We used our VI points. This is another great VI property that comes equipped with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room, laundry and a balcony. There is a/c only in the master bedroom. If they ask you if you want it, the answer is "yes"! The rooms are hot and stuffy without it. We loved the pool that has an awesome view of the ocean. It's fun to see the cruise ships come into Kona Bay. It's a short walk or drive into downtown Kona. Tip: if you want to avoid the paid parking take the free trolley that picks up and drops off just down the street. I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again in the future. Make sure to eat at Island Ona Loa Grill. Great cheeseburgers made with Kona beef and Tillamook Cheese. The best beach with the softest sand Kua Bay, but get there by 7 am to get a parking space (free). The weather is perfect at that time of day.

This is an older property and there are a lot of stairs but the unit we had been updated and was clean. The common areas are very nice. The units do get a little warm, as you need to pay for the air conditioning in the bedroom but if you open the doors it cools down pretty quickly.

Got this room thru Diamond Resorts (now owned by Hilton). We checked on trip advisor and other on line sites and was confident it was a nice place. WRONG WRONG WRONG. We got here yesterday. Front desk said we got one of the nicest units (2 bedroom town house). When we got the room I was ready to turn around and walk out. It smelled musty, the furniture is OLD which is putting it nicely. I'm sure it is the original from when unit was built in 1980. The countertops and ceramic tile floors are newer as are the kitchen/bathroom cabinets. But it has a long way to go to get even close to the pictures I saw on line. The $10 day optional air conditioning is a floor unit with 6" plastic piping running across the floor and out a hole in the wall. And then the ants..........everywhere. On the kitchen counter, in the bathroom, in the sinks, on the nightstand, etc. The topper was the ants I work up to crawling on the bedspread next to my face. Opened my laptop which was on the nightstand and had ants crawling on the screen and keys. When I put my phone down on the dresser, nightstand, or any counter there were ants crawling on it when I picked the phone up. Since the office closed shortly after we got there yesterday I was down there this AM. They were quick in sending someone up to put an ant killer in various places around the unit. After 9 hours the ants are not as numerous but still around. Hopefully tomorrow they will be gone. Not a fan of killing ants crawling on my leg after a shower. (They must have been in the towels as I didn't see any in the 27"x27" tiny shower. Be sure if you are looking at Sea Village that you find out exactly what unit you get........they are not all like the pictures online.

I've been coming to Sea Village Condo in Kona every year, and it never disappoints! Nestled on the dry, sunny side of Hawaii's Big Island, this oceanfront retreat offers remodeled accommodations with fully equipped kitchens and a seaside pool. The proximity to historic Kailua Village and Kona Coffee Farm is a huge plus. My wife and I particularly enjoy the vibrant party atmosphere at the pool and BBQ area, not to mention the easy walk into town. Although the presence of many attractive people around the pool can be a bit distracting, the overall ambiance and amenities keep us coming back year after year. Truly a gem in Kona!

Beautiful resort, clean rooms and gorgeous grounds. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only drawback is there is NO central A/C. It's Hawaii, it's hot and humid. You can rent a portable unit for $10 a day, but it's not really portable. It is in the bedroom and cannot be moved. The unit is loud and it is difficult to sleep with all the noise it makes in the bedroom. If you can withstand that, then enjoy! the place is very nice.

The Sea Village is very nice. Just keep in mind that the price quoted is much less than what you will pay at the end. Here is what I paid per night for our stay January 2000:

per night breakdown:
200 room
53 cleaning
8 credit card fee
32 Elite service fee
44 GE & TA taxes
____
337 total nightly charge

Stayed 9 days here in February. The location and views are is great but that is where it stops. Now don’t get me wrong I have stayed in worse places. This place leaves a lot to be desired. The already extremely small kitchen is made smaller by the washer dryer combo that’s about 2 inches too big for the space which does not allow for the doors to close. Small kitchen does not explain for the mix matched dishes and 1 frying pan. Moving into the carpeted????..... living room you are greater by two worn out couches and rusty lamp shades. At the bottom of the stairs to the unit, when it rains you are greeted by 3/4 inches of standing water you literally can not get around. Down at the pool if you want to look out at the ocean, too bad unless you want to stand up because there is a 3 foot rock wall not glass like others. We have stayed another condos like this before and this was by far the worst. Others units in this place may be ok, but I would not stay here again. It has great potential if the owners would do a few things and the complex would redo the pool wall

Stayed with a family, grandparents to kids for 4 nights. We loved it here! First night we bought stuff to grill out and the setting was perfect overlooking both the pool and the ocean. I slept out in the family room on the couch just to wake up to the ocean right outside the door and I will never forget the morning view and sounds. We loved the location, pool, grill ease of use, layout, 2 bed/2 bath, laundry and our lanai/views were amazing! I wouldn't hesitate to book here again. Some features were dated, but we had what we needed and more, and realistically we were out doing stuff most of the time so time spent in the room wasn't a lot. Kona is a great town, but yes you need to drive to most of the great beaches from anywhere. Overall, excellent stay and I would for sure come back.

If you are looking for a fancy resort with lots of activities this is not it. But if you’re looking for a homey condo close to town with a great ocean view, inviting oceanfront pool and beautiful tropical landscaping this is your spot. No AC in many units or AC in just one room, but the layout is designed to capture the ocean and downslope breezes and our unit was comfortable. Bed was only negative- get a unit with a king!

Thank you for your question. The resort is ocean front however it is not on a swim friendly beach. there are several beaches nearby where you can spend the day swimming. The front desk will be happy to provide that information to you.

What is the earliest one can check in?
Answer from JABoughton
Bellevue, Washington
Check in time is 4 pm. If you know your flight gets in earlier or you will be arriving before 4 pm, book the day prior to your arrival. That way the room will be clean and ready when you reach your destination. Same applies if you have a late departure planned or red-eye flight to catch. Book an extra day so you don’t need to leave your room by 11 am and can enjoy the day by the pool and pack before leaving in the evening.
Answer from JABoughton
Bellevue, Washington
Thank you for your question. Our reservation system assigns units to maximize availability. Therefore we are unable to take specific room requests. The resort is Ocean front and all the units have some sort of ocean view.
