We stayed here for 4 nights with family including 2 young adult boys just recently. The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom accomodation was well designed and spacious giving us all plenty of space to lounge either within the room or on the verandah surrounding all rooms. The room was clean and the kitchen well equipped for meals. We BBQ'ed on two...

This is an older resort that was remodeled not so long ago. it is very peaceful and calm place to stay with a very attentive staff and convenient to most places in the Kona area. 30 minutes form the airport and a leisurely 20 minutes from downtown. We stayed with friends as part of their time share, but you don't...

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this resort. This is a very laid back place (as most are on the big island), no flashy resort amenities here. Rather there are clusters of two story condo buildings that line walkways, you leave your car in the main parking garage and walk to your condo. There are several smaller pools...

actually a resort, not hotel. guests, timeshare owners, and residents share buildings. enjoyed the area, quiet and peaceful. little out of town, but 5 min from shopping center with local market. green, nice flowers, water fountains, pools, and free parking. feels safe, like home away from home.

Spacious rooms are very clean with comfortable bed. No direct ocean access, but there is an ocean view from some of the rooms. There are a number of small pools. The grounds are lush with colorful plants and flowers. The balconies/patios are large with tables and lounge chairs. Some appliances are rather dated. There are a few resident cats and...

We just left the Big Island after a wonderful visit. We should have stayed longer to catch more sights. Holua Resort was perfect. We had a quick check in one hour early. The grounds were lovely. There is secure covered parking. We were lucky to be in Building 16, #104. It's a bit of a walk from the Parking Garage...

We first stayed here in 2013 and loved it. Standards have slipped considerably since then - I still like the accommodation, but it is not being managed very well. When I arrived, the receptionist was checking in guests who were 'owners', i.e. they had paid for a timeshare. She treated them with far more deference than she did when it...

We stayed here the first week of December and found the staff very helpful. We were in Building 17, which is a bit of a hike with groceries but the friendly staff carted us to our room and even assisted in bringing in our mass of items. We had a small issue with bugs and they were there within the...

This resort isn't quite on the coast (distant sea views), doesn't have a bar or restaurant or feature poll and is a few miles out of town but we've always enjoyed our stays here - until this year. The relaxed Shell atmosphere has gone replaced by a Wyndham approach which shows little respect to long-standing Shell owners. Where before we...

Our family stayed for 4 nights in a 2 bedroom townhouse. The unit was huge, immaculately clean and inviting. It had everything you would need for an extended stay. The grounds are beautiful and car parking was easy and secure. The complex was extremely quiet at night so we all slept well. I booked the hotel via booking.com and got...
