I love tripadvisor. We have rarely, if ever, been disappointed in the recommendations found on this site. Hale Kona Kai #410 was the latest treasure we discovered here. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had made the right choice. First and foremost, it is clean! It even smells clean! (This is always a deal-breaker with us.) The...

We have stayed in many wonderful places, and this goes on the list of the top ten. #312 has a wrap around lanai (nine units have this) and it was well worth the additional cost. The views were stunning, including the turtles grazing in the pool directly beneath us, the pods of spinner dolphins, the reef fish in clear view,...

Contrary to what another reviewer has written about Unit #201 my husband and I had a wonderful, peaceful, and quiet time here. We stayed for one week and although one time we did hear the people walking heavily upstairs we were not troubled at all. I would recommend that the person who stayed here and thought the people above them...

If your looking for something right on the water and within walking distance to town, this is it. Units are homey and staff is wonderful. This trip was a get away for my husband & I. We didn't want to do anything but lounge and enjoy the beaches, sunsets, restaurants and shops. We were literally within walking distance to everything....

We recently returned from a week long stay at Hale Kona Kai Unit 213. It was our second stay in this Unit and we absolutely loved it both times. The wrap around balcony has breathtaking views of the ocean and several times we saw turtles swimming below us. The proximity to the ocean is amazing. The balcony is only one...

The condominium was magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. We stayed in room 313 for a week, the location was awesome, so close to downtown and lots of shops and resturants. The lagoon views of turtles and fish was so amazing. The sounds of crashing waves over the rocks was also very calming as well as...

Unit 313 was our home recently, for nine nights. First the good. The Hale Kona Kai is located within easy walking distance to the shopping/dining/tourist traps of Kona. No need to "drive downtown". The not so good about this property is, ironically, the location. It is buttressed between a large condo project and a large hotel complex. There is absolutely...

Aloha, We are so sorry that these guests where not happy with Hale Kona Kai. I do wish they had let us know they were unhappy, we would have offered to move them to another condo and if that was not acceptable, we would have helped them find another accommodation and refunded them the rest of their stay. At no...

We stayed on the Island of Hawaii 10 years ago on our honeymoon. We decided to rekindle that moment during our 10 year anniversary and looked on-line to see about our original hotel. We discovered Hale Kona Kai and saw that Adeline was the manager of many units in the complex. After speaking to her a few times, she informed...

My son and I spent six nights at Hale Kona Kai in late April 2008. With regards to the entire complex the location is excellent, especially when you consider the cost. "Town", restaurants(which we did not frequent, and "beaches" are convenient(any place in Kona would be close to the majority of the places I would want to visit). The staff...

I really wish I could recommend unit 201 at Hale Kona Kai due to its proximity to the ocean and overall appearance of the condo itself. The unit was clean, the kitchen well stocked and the ocean directly below your lanaii, literally. However, the stomping sound from the people walking in the unit above was simply unbearable. My wife and...
