We stayed at the hotel for my sisters wedding along with 38 guests from all over the world. We travelled from the UK. It was a long journey but well worth it. Checking in was quick and the staff all so friendly, we had an ocean view corner king room in the Alli tower, the view was amazing. The room was...

Aloha TA family, it's awesome to know these guests from all over the word had such an enjoyable stay with us! congrats to the wedding couple too! Yes, certain times of the year, especially winter, we have big surf in front of the hotel, but not always. We're glad they shared their experience, enjoying all the great things most of...

Where do I start? This place is a waste of money, it's old, dirty, and has such terrible service and food... I cannot believe that this place gets GOOD reviews, it's a tear-down waiting to happen. The room we had was $180 a night and should of only cost $50.00 at best. The property is gorgeous, but has a very...

Aloha TA family, second reference to the Four Seasons, a lovely resort up the coast. If that's your taste, please choose wisely when you travel. we're talking apples and oranges here folks, and I'm confident the readers on this site are educated enough to read between the lines. Do your homework wherever your travels take you, and you'll never be...

Is the second time I have stayed at this Hotel. Is located such that walking to nearby shopping and restaurants is quite convenient. The hotel is an older property but is located magnificently, a site that would likely never be allowed today. Quite wonderful to sit in the open-air bar and watch the waves break on the rocks directly below(see...

Aloha TA family, ugh, such a great stay reviewed, only to be had with one hiccup. I'm glad they had such a nice, second stay with us, we truly appreciate their loyalty. having the location we do, allows us to provide the best views and ocean front experiences in Kona. We strive to provide great service, and have a warm...

My husband and I only had one night to spend in Kona on a recent trip to the big island, and we chose to stay at the Royal Kona. We were both SO glad that we did! From the moment we arrived, the staff was awesome (thank you to Barbara at the front desk for truly going the extra mile...

Aloha TA family, great to see that this well traveled Sr. Contributor had a wonderful stay with us. I'm sure they did their homework before choosing us, as there are a lot of choices out their, many more pricey, and many more affordable. What I can boast about is, although we're not the newest kid on the block, and in...

First time coming here, for my cousin's destination wedding. We got to the hotel around 8:30pm but had to wait about 10 minutes before we were given our hotel room keys. Weird since check in was supposed to be anytime after 3pm. But that didn't really matter to us when we opened the balcony doors to the gorgeous view we...

Aloha! By the looks of this guests screen name, you can tell they love Hawaii "808" is our area code and they are from the awesome state of Texas! Great to know they were pleasantly surprised, and had a great time with us, enjoying the views, location and staff. We'll be sure to keep them on the radar for their...

We had a very old and dated room. It was musty and very dated. It clearly needed to be updated. We stayed here one night so it wasnt to bad. A plus was the view. We had an ocean view and it was just beautiful. It made the musty and dated room much easier to tolerate. The staff was very...

Aloha TA family, great to know they loved the view from their room. I send them a private message to determine which room they stayed in, so we can rectify their concerns. Albeit we're not the newest resort on the strip, we do strive to provide clean, well maintained rooms for our guests to enjoy, at the best value in...

Went to Kona for a week of diving, and this place was the most inexpensive option in the travel package I put together. Having said that, I wasn't expecting much. The place is right on the water, and I was lucky enough to have an ocean view, so I got to hear the waves crashing the whole time. Didn't eat...

Aloha TA family, fair review. One note though, please know we do not impose a mandatory resort fee. If you don't have a car, you don't pay $10 per night to park, lowest in town FYI, if you don't use the wifi, and use your smart phone instead, you don't pay $9.95 per day, our fitness room is already complimentary,...

We arrived off the plane exhausted and would not spend the $850 a night for a villa At the four seasons. So we took the Royal Kona overlooking the sea. The pace is pretty cheap $180. I visited from 4/18 - 4/22/2013 and was pleased with the accommodations. Aloha TA crew, so awesome to know these guests had such a great experience in our Lagoon, what a nice surprise that a Honu (green sea turtle) showed up on key!
