Not knowing any reputable hotel to stay in 29 palms for a weekend visiting a marine on base, this was a great choice. It wasn't too far from the base. We arrived early so there was no room to check in. The front desk was...More
we stayed here 2 nights to visit our son who is a Marine stationed at 29 Palms. Nice, clean hotel with a good breakfast. Close to the base. Not a whole lot to do around there, but good location to visit our son.
Our stay was about as good as a stay can be. The folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and even recommended a good nearby hike, which we took the next day. The room was nice and the carpet looked new. Our beds...More
Big rooms, the suites are lovely! The rooms have a space for kids and parents and a kitchenette. I prefer the 29 palms inn for playful and soulful accommodations, but this place was a okay!
The rooms were big and clean.

Palm Springs is about a 35 to 40 minute drive from Twentynine Palms and Indio is about a 45 minute drive from Twentynine Palms. As far as public transportation, I believe there is limited bus service between the cities. The Fairfield in Twentynine Palms does not have limo service. Taxi service between the cities I would believe is pretty expensive. Car rental facilities at the Palm Springs airport is available and depending on the time of the year not too unreasonable.I would not stay in Twentynine Palms without my own or rented vehicle. You might check with the hotel about the bus service between the 3 cities
