Price: I was aiming for a hotel below $100 in Ca and this was it. Unfortunately, I wasn't given a receipt at checkout because I was told that a receipt couldn't be given. Parking: As the pictures show, parking is outside of your room. The parking area is small. Location: I don't remember the location that well, but I chose...

Muir Lodge Motel in Martinez, CA was a great place to stay! Very clean rooms, complimentary bottles of water each day in the room, very reasonable prices. They are remodeling some rooms & putting new furniture in - very nice. The managers were very hospitable, and we think they deserve a better star rating! My husband & I stayed there...

My partner and I stayed here six months ago and decided we liked the property. Unfortunately that night there was a group of drunk college students in the room next to us. The next morning, when it was time for checkout, we let the management know and they were very apologetic and asked us to call them next time instead...

This is a two-star hotel so expectations were quite low, but definitely exceeded. It met two fundamental goals of ours. First, after a long drive from Southern California for a weekend in wine country, it was very inexpensive and allowed us to have a easy launch point for our destination in the Napa Valley the next morning. And secondly, it...

Stayed here for 4 days during the Christmas holiday. One of the nicest motel managers I have ever encountered. Even though I did not arrive til after 10pm (flight delay) they were courteous & ready & willing to help in any way. Loved the little danish pastry as a morning snack. Room was very clean & once the blinds were...

Really enjoyed staying here for a night. Wood floors large flat screens and motionsensor lighting.which are adjustable. Mini refridgerator and even a danish to help open my eyes in the morning.beds were really comfortable and prices were very competitive compared to the lets say not so great hotels across the street. Definitely recommend it if need a place to stay...

The Good: - Older, 50's style roadside motel that doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. Small, easy to find, easy to park, no fuss. Not luxurious, but neat and clean. - No silly add-on charges. Wifi included, with password volunteered at check-in. - Smallish but comfortable room, nice decor. - Large bathroom; coffeemaker, minifridge, microwave & breakfast pastries. -...

The location is awesome, just 0.2 miles from Hwy 4 and the John Muir National Historic Site. It's not so close to historic Martinez, but it's still walkable for dinner. It is close to a railroad, but so it everything else in Martinez, including downtown areas. My sister noticed that there was a small hose running from the pool pump...

I wanted an economy Motel but something better than the lowest on the totem pole. This motel fit the bill for me. Liked: Not a chain. Small one story business. Safe area. Crooks would be very obvious breaking into this small place. However you have to travel to nearby cities for some amenities. Small town atmosphere even though it's a...

Muir Lodge Motel is a reasonably priced, older motel, nicely remodeled, with friendly staff and clean rooms. The layout uses the classic '50s one-story U-shaped configuration around the swimming pool and parking spaces. Park right outside your door. The rooms are good sized, with amenities such as mini-fridge, coffee maker, TV with extensive channel selection including many Latin channels and...
