We recently had a fabulous weeks stay at Der Berghof. Our room was a comfortable size with plenty of storage including a wardrobe and set of drawers. We loved our balcony a few a over looking the mountains. There were 2 chairs and a little pull out table, so we often enjoyed a beer whilst watching the sun set. The... More

This is a super little pension. Location-right in the centre of Alpbach, 100m from the ski bus stop,500m from the supermarket. Accomodation - Warm and cosy bedrooms with balconies- we had a room on the 3rd floor right up under the eaves with beautiful views of the mountains. Immaculately clean bedroom/bathroom and balcony. Table and armchairs supplied on balcony.Comfy beds.... More

The hotel is neat inside and has some modern furniture and fur blankets outside to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. The hotel doesn't have much of a relaxing lobby area just a dining space and bar. Having booked with Inghams as a ski package it would appear we had the bottom end of things in terms of food/choice/service. The... More

We use to come here 12 years ago for lunch and dinner, rustic charm and great food. Then the refurbishment somehow altered the "feng shui"" of the place. Cristina recommendedto our friends that we should give it a try as there as a new chef there. So glad we did, ten of us had a lovely evening there, not sure... More

I've stayed at the Der Berghof many times and on every occasion we receive a really warm welcome and are always sad to leave. The rooms are spotless and it's a great place to eat and drink. The staff and owners couldn't be nicer. The building boasts typical Alpbach charm and it sits pretty in this beautiful Tyrolean Village (that... More

Did not stay here but ate twice on an evening. Typical Austrian menu, very generous portions and excellent value .Staff all speak English and are all very pleasant and welcoming. Have eaten at most of the restaurants in the village and consider this the best for overall service.

Have had a very pleasant stay at this small, family run pension in the beautiful village of Alpbach. My single room was well furnished, clean and comfortable, with a spacious and pretty shower room. Having a balcony was an added bonus! Food was plain, but freshly cooked and plentiful. The staff were all unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly. Alpbach itself... More

Very disappointing food! Tafelspitz should be a soft boiled piece of beef, this one was as dry as a shoe sole. Charly Chaplin would have enjoyed it, if you know his sketch where he eats a whole shoe. There are so many better places in this village, so do avoid this one until they invest in a better cook.
