Agree with all comments about location. Plenty of choice for food and staff were great. However be warned that not all rooms are as in picture. Our room was dated, cold, lights kept fusing and internal toilet fans inadequte. Room was situated over a bar not connected with the hotel and the noise was bad until 2am every night so no good for...

Stayed here last week in Jan - very friendly, warm hotel great location in town centre, near the lifts - evrything you could want. Evening meals very good and breakfast was what you would want and expect. Overall a very enjoyable week with plenty of snow and skiing. Transfer from Salzberg for 2 was expensive so we took the ski...

Just returned from a weeks ski holiday satying in the Zum Hirschen. The room was a nice big double bedroom that looked to have been recently re-decorated, very good facilities. The staff were all friendly and helpful, when we first went into our room, one of the lights did not work, it was fixed within an hour. Food was very...

We were really warmly welcomed and offered two drinks. The room was spacey, warm, quiet -even though the hotel is in the center of the village- and decorated in the Austrian traditional way. There was a lively outdoor bar and the restaurant was really gourmet. The breakfast was more than good and the overall service was friendly and professional.

We booked the Zum Hirschen hotel in Zell am See as we were able to get a family room for a short ski break stay during the February half term school holiday instead of the normal 7 night stays. Our room was comfortable with a balcony and distant view of the lake (across the roof tops!) but it was quiet...

When our party of four arrived, we were told that they had accidentally over-booked. Normally this would have created a problem, but instead we were comped the top-floor apartment- a beautiful room with a great panoramic view of the Lake and the surrounding Alps. The restaurant service was excellent, however the food was a little pricy. The location of the...

Nice hotel with good food but we were kept awake every night until 4am by people shouting in the street directly outside hotel. Then at 5.30am a lorry would deliver outside with bottles being wheeled down the pedestrian street. At 7.30 am church bells and heavy traffic noise. It's a real shame as the hotel itself was ideal, but I...

We arrived at the hotel after spending three nights in Vienna, and were looking forward to some peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the Austrian capital. We didn't exactly get the peace and quiet, as there is quite a lot of traffic noise from the main street, but it didn't spoil our stay too much. There was...
