We have just returned from a week long ski trip to Zell am See. We were a mixed ability group of 12 people ( 3 families) with children aged between 8-12. We stayed in family rooms at Hotel zum Hirschen in the centre of Zell, about 100m from the city express lift ( be warned - it is an uphill...

We stayed here as a group of 3 families, 12 in total. The hotel has a lovely cosy family atmosphere and the food is some of the best I've ever eaten. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating and we managed to all sit around one table every evening at dinner. The rooms were large and comfortable and we...

Just had a super week at the Zum Hirschen - our second visit here. The lovely Pacalt family could not have been more welcoming in every respect. The rooms are great - spacious, warm, clean, endless hot water and well serviced. The food is a treat - very high standard cuisine with lots of Austrian specialties each night. Special thanks...

we booked direct (better prices than online) and had half board. Our room was upgraded and a ski pass included in the price. The food was first rate, a five course meal each night which varied with a choice of main course and pudding. We expected to eat out as our experience of half board is poor - but we...

Overall a very good hotel, fantastic central location, good public areas and huge rooms ideal when sharing with friends rather than loved ones!! Wifi is only in public areas which I'll never understand in today's world? Only other negative really is the food, the problem is the vast majority of it is very very good and tasty but there's just...

Well, what a clean, we'll run hotel . Had a great sty, our second. However some of the stuff made us feel in unwelcome ESP the owner who sat at the bar... We used the hotel taxi for a trip and was charged more than the normal taxi on our return plus the driving by the owner was utterly shocking,...

We loved our stay, we were made to feel so welcome, I even had a birthday card for my birthday. Rooms really comfortable, we had 2 rooms next door as holidayed with teenage children. Food amazing every night. Ideally situated in zell. Can't praise highly enough, perfect when back from a day on the slopes.

Hotel is nicely located. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and clean. Only comment I can add is that I think it is a poor practice for the restaurant to charge $3 for a pitcher of tap water.

The hotel was in great location, central to all the shops, bars, lake, cycle tracks, train station and lifts up the mountain. So much to do in the area. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and friendly. Meals were of high quality and delicious the layout of the hotel was spacious, clean and well maintained. Excellent experience
