We loved staying in the 60's room at the Plains Historic Inn. The folks who run it are retired teachers so they know how to organize and make everything meaningful and special. I am so glad I got to know Ms. Jan as she was so knowledgeable about everything including the church service and Sunday school class where Jimmy Carter...

This is one of the most unique places I have ever stayed. Each room is decorated in a different decade from 1920 to 1980. We stayed in the 1940 room. The furniture was of the 1940 era. There was reading material from the 1940s. There is a balcony with rocking chairs. I highly recommend.

I don't know when we have stayed in nicer, more accommodating place. We were treated like family by everyone from the moment we arrived. Soon after our arrival the entire town was shut down by a tornado warning. After it passed, we walked the town over. Charming, friendly, and quaint come to mind. We plan on returning to just kick back...

I think this is about the 5th or 6th time we have stayed at the Old Historic Inn in Plains, GA. We were two couples on our way to Key West and decided to take the other couple to see Roosevelts Little White House in Warm Springs as well as Jimmy Carters old home place in Plains. For civil war...

My husband and I stayed at the Plains Inn for one night at attend a wedding. We were pleasantly surprised at the charm of the Inn and enjoyed our accomodations. It's an historic inn and has a common area that feels like home. The kitchen is in the common area and the owners keep it stocked with the essentials like...

The inn was wonderful! My grandsons and I stayed in the room decorated for the 1980's. Plains has a lot of historical information concerning President Carter that would be fun for all ages. I recommend the Inn and the opportunity to hear President Carter teach Sunday School at Maranatha Baptist Church.

Visited Plains to attend President Carter's bible study and stayed Sun night at the inn. Sat night we had to stay elsewhere because it was booked. We had the inn to ourselves on Sun and enjoyed seeing all of the period rooms. We stayed in the 1970 room which was large and cozy. Beautifully decorated in the style of the...

What a wonderful surprise in a small and friendly town. The rooms are very spacious and welcoming decorated in period style of the decades from 1920 through 1980. A common room with a kitchen, dining area, sitting room and a balcony great for the morning coffee or just relaxing. The staff were so nice and helpful. We can't wait for...
