We stayed at this campground for a couple of days while seeing Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments. The park is family run and they are very friendly and welcoming. The owner guided us to our campsite and made sure we safely avoided nearby trees. After we were safely parked he even offered to help set up our rig! The...

Custer has many what we refer to as "bare bones" campgrounds. In other words- close sites located on flat bare land. Welikit is a lovely woody campground. The sites are large and well shaded. We camped in a 27 ft 5th wheel with FHU. The sites have wifi, cable tv, and good gravel pads. The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms...

You cannot go wrong to stay here. Fabulous location closer to Custer State Park, and both monuments. Wide, shady camp sites, clean restrooms and efficient laundry. So friendly and helpful staff. We will stay here again.

Very nice shelters for the tenters. We used it to help protect our tent since it rained most of the day the 3 days we were there. However, the idea of putting the only toilets in the same room as the only showers in the building causes a lot of problems in the mornings. People trying to just use the...

We stayed in cabin number 3 and it was perfect. Very quiet at night and perfect for our parents that had an RV and were right across from us. Owners were great to deal with and very attentive to any needs. Location in Custer is central to about anything you would like to go see...Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles Highway,...

We've rented here twice this year. My wife found it by their website. Nice pleasant hosts. Family run. They have thirty tent sites. Nice tent site not all crammed together like an after thought. There were deer grazing and a flock of wild turkeys wondering around. They have a wagon and a teepee that can also be rented out. Overall...

Our location off busy highways and up in the trees allows for our guests to meet the local residents of the Black Hills and we are always glad to hear that guests enjoyed them as...

They have a fenced in little "dog park" where your dogs can run off leash which was a huge plus for us. A nice playground, showers and bathrooms, and laundry facility. Full hookups and even cable and wifi. The owners are nice and very helpful. The campground itself is very nice and comfortable. The campground has a lot of shade...

This campground was great for our family of five. It is centrally located for getting to all of the sights and attractions in the Black Hills. It is situated under big pine trees and is very well shaded. We were traveling with a 34 foot travel trailer and the management put us in the perfect spot for the trailer as...

This campground is wonderful. It is shaded with trees. The sites are spacious and quiet. The bath house has 8 family bathrooms with sink, toilet, and shower. Each one has its own water heater so you don't have to worry about someone else using up all the hot water before you get there! They do provide wifi, but it's very...

“If possible ask for a different site other then #35. This site is near the bath/shower rooms and stationed just outside the shower rooms are the dumpsters that smelt bad and housed thousands of flies. It seemed that dumpster could be moved or at least dumped more frequently. It was overflowing and appeared to of not been dumped during our stay. This was the only draw back to our stay on the park.”
