Our 2nd visit there! It is beautiful, peaceful, quiet, clean and so much fun. There are so many attractions close by, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Deadwood, Rapid City and many more. It's a great getaway and the owners, Joe and Lori are the nicest people you ever met! We've known them for years! Go stay there and...

Our family (Mom, Dad, and a 5-year-old) rented Cabin #9 for two nights. Very clean; cozy with vaulted, raftered ceilings and wood paneling; and convenient for trips to Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore. Cabin had everything we needed: a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, king-size bed, bathtub, windows that open. We loved the charming location alongside a...

Our family rented cabin #10 for three nights just before Bike Week. We were extremely impressed, and almost overwhelmed, by the beauty surrounding the cabin, as well as the cleanliness and appearance of the cabin. This is a newer looking cabin with wood paneling everywhere, vaulted ceilings, and nice-sized windows perfect for viewing the grounds. There is no a/c, but...

Thank you so much for such a great review. We loved talking to your mother-in-law. we got to tell her about some of the history of Calamity Peak Lodge. She was really curious about the stone. I'm sorry you had trouble with parking but cabin 10 has its own parking. You could have pulled stay down to the cabin. You...

I am a neat freak and very picky when it comes to staying in a hotel/cabin/anywhere not my home. This place was clean and maintained well. We stayed in room 1 for 3 nights. It had a pull out bed for our son, fridge, coffee pot, coffee, microwave, and TV (never used since we unplugged for the week). There was...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of bike week in Sturgis. Room was small but very well kept. This is a "Mom & Pop" older establishment. The owners seem to be doing a great job keeping things neat & clean. There was a small fridge, microwave, & coffee maker in our room along with a TV &...

Thank you so much for a great review. We usually try to tell people about Sturgis week before they come. The whole Black hills gets taken over by the motorcycle. Sturgis Week in the Black Hills is a real big thing for this area. I'm still glad you enjoyed yourself. I would recommend coming out a different time of the...

We stayed here 6 nights over the 4th of July holidays and it was great! Cabin was clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Location is close to everything we like to do. Even though it's close to the highway we never heard traffic noise. Will stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Location is great. Just a mile or so out of Custer. The rooms were very clean. Much cheaper then any of the hotels around. We will be back if we are in Custer. The owners Joe and Lori are very personable and nice to talk to. You can spend twice as much or more a night in Custer and not...

Clean cabins, friendly staff and great location for a Black Hills vacation! Our kids loved playing in French Creek which runs through the property, and was next to our cabin. It is about 5 minutes to the Custer State Park entrance and 5 minutes to the town of Custer in the other direction. We especially liked that it was centrally...

We loved our stay at Calamity Peak Lodge. The rooms are small, but there are tables and chairs just outside your room so you can enjoy the lovely surroundings - even grills. They make a special effort to have people park in designated parking places so when you are outside, you aren't looking at a bunch of cars. We definitely...

We stayed in unit 6 for a week long family vacation and absolutely loved this place. We travel with our dog, and they are very accepting of having her along. The owner Joe and his wife are very attentive to your needs. The units are very well cared for, but above all they are cleaner than any place we have...
