We stopped for lunch after driving through Custer State park and needles highway. We shared the shredded bison sandwich.. very good! the service was good and friendly. The restaraunt was pretty busy. the bar even has some saddle stools if you chose to sit at the bar!

Had a great 2 night stay in a cabin that was well appointed and clean. Great location in the park, close to stables and the restaurant. Would recommend for couples or families. Firepit at each cabin with porches to relax on.

We enjoyed a great lunch after a visit to Sylvan Lake. The lodge is rustic, the service was friendly and the food was good. Lodging is available, although we did not take advantage of this. The bar seats are saddles! Very entertaining and comfortable.

This was a very rustic and comfortable room. I loved the wood burning fireplace and rustic atmosphere. The only negative thing was the room was obviously one that allows pets/dogs to be specific. It smelled like urine. We tried to keep the windows open to allow the fresh air to minimize it. We didn't complain about it so the management...

Loved the lodge atmosphere, big stone fireplace, rustic furniture, but the breakfast was the best we had on our trip this year. The cheesy omelet and crunchy hash browns are served in a sizzling cast iron skillet, so much I could hardly eat it all, and really delicious.

I’m not a picky, urban gal who can’t handle a couple of spiders in the corner. In fact, I’m a scout leader with lots of experience in rustic cabins and tents and the great outdoors. I’ve also stayed in the Blue Bell cabins on two previous occasions. I loved Blue Bell then but things have changed and Blue Bell’s leadership...

My husband and I, our daughter and two children (9 & 12) stayed in one of the family cabins. It was immaculate and lovely, with a fireplace. It was perfect for our family and we would happily stay there again. We took a trail ride at Blue Bell Stables, had fun paddle-boating and kayaking at nearby Legion Lake (15 mins....

We recently had breakfast and lunch at the historic Blue Bell lodge in Custer State Park. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and well presented. The old lodge has been well preserved with the public spaces tastefully updated for the 21st century. The lodge is a little out of the way in the southern part of Custer State Park but...

“Some cabins are much newer than others and they are more pleasant in every way. I believe the cabins in the 20s are the newest.”
  • The kitchen was lacking a LOT of basics but we were ready for pancakes!
  • Even the phone was sticky and dirty. A little 409 and a sponge would go a long way here.
  • lots of mold around the tub and in the grout.
