This guesthouse has got the best bed I stayed in a budget place. I really enjoy my stay and wished I stayed longer. The tree hut design is great, paid around $9 for a double bed and have the whole second floor to myself (due to coronavirus I guess). another thing I love about this guesthouse is its shower. A primitive/resort vibe to it which I enjoyed a lot! Location wise is not the best, around 15, 20 mins walk to El Remate, not much of a choice to eat nearby. The whole village is surprisingly expensive.

If you go to El Remate this is the place to be! An eco-friendly little village on the shores of the lake where you can enjoy the peace of the nature. Excellent restaurant, good wifi and friendly staff. Go to see the sunset by the lake! SCAM ALERT: just to let you know, don't buy tickets for your next stop in Guatemala from RETpSA company in Flores, in the parking lot where the minivans leave. They will tell you that they cost less but it's not true, it's a scam! We paid 200 Q from Semuc Champey to Antigua, but it's only 150 Q!

Beautiful place and very clean but owners weren't much of help when it came to organizing a tour to Tikal, so I went to Flores and booked a tour with an other hostel (you get so much more out of the experience when it is with a guide) for almost the same price. They also don't book shuttles even though they seem to advertise them. There seems to be not much interest in helping out, so if you stay here I'd figure out and book everything in advance. You also pay for water refills.. 5 months in Guatemala and this is the first place I come across that charges for this.. Absurd.

We stayed here for a few days between day trips to Yaxha and Tikal. It was great. Everyone was friendly. The food and drinks were tasty. The views of the jungle are beautiful. It is a very relaxing place.

From beginning to end it was an amazing stay! The owner are always nice and try to help you with everything question you could have! What else can we say... Monkeys in the morning and jungle sundown in the evening! Just enjoy it!
