They put us right now to the elevator and it started running regularly at 6am. Im not a particularly heavy sleeper and it started humming early and didn't stop. The room is is fine if you have a 7am meeting, but on a Sunday morning during Mardi Gras it stunk. They clearly know about the flaws in the room. I...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This was my first time to New Orleans, so I didn't really know where to stay. Since I was on a business trip, I was limited to locations that offered a per diem rate, but I am very Hilton brand loyal. This was such a perfect choice! The street car was literally right out front - and very easy to...

Stayed here for one night for a conference. Walls were pretty thin, I could hear the baby next door crying several times throughout the night. The staff was very nice and the coffee bar was great and stocked all day. The fruit and cheese in the evening was a nice touch. Easy parking in their lot and the bathroom was...

Stayed here for 2 nights going to visit Tulane. The hotel was nice, had nice Mardi Gras decorations, and it was right across the street from the streetcar stop-very convenient! Made for an easy trip to Tulane and the FQ. The breakfast each day was pretty good, many, many choices hot and cold and the beds were very comfortable, plush...

We had a wonderful time this past weekend staying at the Hampton Inn on St Charles. It is a perfect spot to watch the uptown parades. It is clean, comfortable and I really can't say enough good things about the staff. From the welcome we received at the front desk, the gracious way breakfast was served right on though to...

I come to New Orleans fairly often on business and usually stay in the French Quarter or downtown. We decided to try this hotel because daughter was visiting Tulane and it was close by. The hotel is physically nicer than an average Hampton Inn, but nothing to write home about. I have given the hotel one star because of a...

Wasn't sure about staying in a Hampton Inn on St. Charles, but I was surprised upon check-in. Great quiet location, rooms are extremely clean and they offer a light dinner snack from 5-7. I visit New Orleans a lot for business and tried this hotel on a whim. Best decision ever!!! You will not be disappointed.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
