The staff was great. Check in was easy, check out was easy. Staff was very friendly and cared about my experience. I always saw a smile on everyone's face. I was visiting Louisiana from California and had the best experience.

Stayed for a meeting held up the road at another hotel. Arrived Saturday evening at the height of Mardi Gras parades. Efficient quick check in. Room was large and comfortable. Usual Hyatt Place layout and facilities. Some noise from street but to be expected at this time of year. Breakfast was good and plenty of space to sit. Design of...

If you think you are getting Hyatt quality think again. The hotel was clean. The coffe was good. Not a bad walk to the French quarter. Some nice restaurants nearby. That is all the nice things I can say.

We have stayed at Hyatt Place in a number of locations and knew exactly what to expect: comfy beds, great pillows, big tv positioned in front of the bed, not to the side (as is the case with a competitor), a way-above-average free breakfast, and an indoor pool. It never occurred to me to verify that the NOLA location had...

Went for Mardi Gras, and the location was perfect. 1-2 blocks from shopping on the Riverfront. In walking distance to Harrah's and the French Quarter. Far enough away not to be in all the hoopla of Mardi Gras. Offered Free Breakfast. The website for our room said sleep 6, but if you didn't want to move around in the room...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
