We stayed at the La Quinta in for two nights in August before embarking on a cruise. The rooms are not well insulted so we could hear everyone in the hall and the doors closing. They were clean and comfortable, Other than the noise. The breakfast was okay, mostly continental options which was fine for our needs. The front desk...

Reasonably priced hotel near the French Quarter. Rooms are nice sized and clean and the hotel has breakfast in the morning. I was hesitant to stay here because I usually stay in the a French Quarter but I got such a good rate I coukdn't pass it up. I was also traveling with cats so my options were limited. This...

Stayed here during Mardi Gras. Paid over $300 for the room. It didn't have air conditioning, the room stayed at 72 all night. The breakfast is very limited. They did let us check in early which was a plus. I booked 2 rooms one for us and one for my brother. They were suppose to be the same but his...

I stayed at the hotel in 2015. I should have been from 6 nights but only 5 nights. I would never normally write but I felt that my stay was most unpleasant. The hotel was the most unwelcoming hotel I have ever stayed in. I have been walked before from a hotel and it is not the best experience. This...

Before arriving we called the front desk to make sure Camp Street wasn't closed due to a parade. The gentleman at the front desk told us it was not and would not be blocked off that night. After an hour and a half in traffic, we learned that it was in fact blocked off. We called again to find an...

Great hotel for staying while attending Mardi Gras. Only 1 block from parade route and close to Bourbon Street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints at all. I have stayed at this hotel many times and will continue to do so.

I travel on business a great deal and sometimes stay longer than expected or have to stay at the spur of the moment. This was not my first choice but pleasantly surprised. Clean, professional staff, warm and a complimentary breakfast. Did not realize the hotel was this grounded until I came to breakfast - Wow! So many people, a sign...

Good location for business in the CBD, offers valet parking for $26 per night, rooms are clean and comfortable, great value for the price and location, However... Wifi is free but incredibly slow. I used an Ookla app to measure the speeds and it repeatedly registered less than 1Mbps, By contrast, my lower tier home wifi gives me more than...

Clean, friendly, great location. Plus a nice breakfast, comfy sheets and comforter. I highly recommend. I have stayed a total of 10 days here and would stay again. Its within walking distance to French Quarter and many museums. I feel safe staying here and its very quiet.

Our first room had a strange odour - staff moved us as soon as we raised it and the next room was fine but a little noisy as it was by the elevators and our fellow guests seemed to think we would enjoy hearing their conversations! Breakfast was included in the very reasonable rate

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
