The Guest House has updated bathrooms and bedrooms...We love the rooms overlooking Audubon Park! The breakfast is wonderful and plentiful... you don’t need to eat again until dinner. They also serve fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. Perfect to come back to the Guest House after a day of seeing all the sights, eat a few cookies, take a nap...

a group of 10 women, in town for a reunion of college friends, chose the Park View as our headquarters and we could not have made a better choice. The period accommodations were gorgeous, the service and friendliness of the staff was delightful, and the food at breakfast and tea time superb. They consistently went the extra mile to make...

Park View is a stately guest house in NOLA's Garden District, located next door to the beautiful Audubon Park and a short walk to Tulane and Loyola Universities. The guest house is directly on the streetcar line, so it's easy to hop aboard and head over to the French Quarter without needing to take a car. Although the desk closes...

Thanks so much for your kind words about Park View. I am so glad you appreciate the afternoon treats and wine. It is just a small way to thank our guests for staying with us! I suppose it is an old fashioned nod to southern hospitality!

Park View is a wonderful old house that has been updated to fit the needs of the modern traveler. Thanks so much for your review and comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Park View. I tell guests all the time that climbing the stairs earns them the right to eat extra delicious calories with impunity. It sounds like no one offered to carry your bags for you, which disappoints me. We stay at the park view twice a year...spring and fall. It is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, food is always available, and location is perfect on the street car line, next to Audubon Park, and close to the colleges. This place never disappoints. Park View is a beautiful Victorian inn conveniently located right on the Charles St trolley line. The area is nice and quiet, but easily accessible to downtown. Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
