Great place for happy hour. Kitty knows how to make the best drinks. Kitty's suggestions for food & drinks were perfect. Kitty is very welcoming with great customer service. The oysters & special cheese cake was unbelievable! Don't miss going there!

The hotel was pretty, well kept but the rooms were pretty small but clean. And the hotel was pretty pricey $$$ but that's what we expected being on Bourbon Street. We have nothing negative to say about the hotel. The front desk and bell hop service staff were very friendly and were able to get our rooms ready quickly despite...

I realize I'm probably going to be in the minority here, but this is a great hotel in a horrible location. Stayed two nights over a three day weekend and that is our mistake. It is literally on Bourbon street, and thats a place I never need to return to. Maybe thats your thing though. Unless you hate sleeping, or...

Stayed four nights/ five days for a business trip. Breakfast and lunch catering for our group was amazing! Rooms are nicely appointed but bar in room is not stocked and water bottle is $7. The shower in my room did not work (diverter) so that was a problem the first morning but they fixed it after I let them know....

Hotel very nice and comfortable. Sound very noisy on bourbon street side but inside rooms a lot quieter. Nice courtyard for gathering and restaurant very good. PJ's Coffee house also accommodating with alcohol to add. Jim is very knowledgeable and helpful in planning things. Might have to ask housekeeping a few times to restore some extra things in the room...

Dear MrsPattiP, Greetings to you and yours and thank you for joining us on your recent couples retreat. It was a joy to welcome you and a pleasure to learn that your experience was such a delight. I would highly recommend the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon street. We had a room with a balcony on the side street (Across from Jacks, Vin Bar and kitty corner from Old Absinthe Bar). Was the room loud, yes a times it got a bit noisy, but it wasn’t really anything to complain about. Aside from that they provide ear plugs...

Dear ThisisJulz, As you have highlighted, our Bourbon Street location goes unrivaled, but the hotel itself provides a serene escape to the activity that takes place within the French Quarter. We are thrilled to read that you enjoyed our urban oasis and we thank you for sharing your detailed review. The balcony rooms overlooking Bourbon Street are always in demand,...

We stayed in a Club level room Royal Sonesta over an extended New Year's Eve weekend. The French Quarter location offers convenient access to many of the great New Orleans restaurants and attractions. We had a very late check in, but was glad I contacted the hotel in advance so our room reservation was held for our arrival. Guests arriving...

Number one, check in. My wife and I arrived in the parking garage around 9pm. There were no fewer than two attendants. We had a four day work function previous to our stay so we had a lot of luggage. Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
