The Hotel Mazarin was clean, friendly and looked to be refreshed. Room was a nice size and very accommodating. The breakfast included in the stay was delicious and lots of great food choices. Great bar off the courtyard and just a real pleasant stay. The location of the Hotel was super !

My husband and I were first time visitors to new Orleans and somewhat unsure where to stay. This hotel couldn't have been in a more perfect location! Beautiful, updated rooms with comfortable beds. The robes and slippers are a great touch as is the welcome cocktail in their adjoining lounge. Friendly, efficient staff. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the lovely...

Great location. Very easy to walk in or out of the French Quarter. And for being right next to Bourbon Street it was really quiet. We stayed in the second courtyard which helped. The room we stayed in was very small, but we didn't spend a ton of time there.

We were first time visitors in New Orleans. Family of five, including three teenage children. The location of the hotel was terrific, and we particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful hotel staff, who made us feel like we were among friends. The rooms were well kept and very clean. We enjoyed the interior courtyard, with its substantial fountain, for casual...

A real oasis--beautiful courtyard that felt worlds away from any crowds, spacious and lovely rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast with lots to choose from, nice bar. Couldn't imagine a better place to stay.

Cleaning of the rooms are not timely. Then they they rush in to the job. The cleaning is good. This happened to us twice in a week. We complain only one time. But no follow up to see if the problem had been taken care of

Had a great stay in a classy, charming hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Close enough to Bourbon Street yet far enough away to not hear the late night noise. Great breakfast with plenty of hot items, breads, croissants and fresh fruit. Also appreciated having Patrick's wine bar and the 21st Amendment bar with live music attached to...

We enjoyed staying at the Hotel Mazarin. The location was convenient to Bourbon street, Canal St. and the French quarter. We appreciated having breakfast every morning, although not outstanding . It was nice to be able to eat in the courtyard area. Our biggest disappointment was with the bathroom. We didn't receive any shampoo or lotion. It wasn't until our...

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are very comfortable, the staff is very friendly, and the location is superb if you want to be near the heart of the French Quarter. The courtyard is a nice respite from the craziness nearby. That said, there were some minor issues. You can hear Bourbon Street noise but that's the case just...

We stayed at the Hotel Mazarin for two nights and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and more subdued hotel just off Bourbon on Bienville. Despite being so close to all the noise - the hotel was quiet and sound proof even in the courtyard. One reason that I chose this hotel was the inclusion of a full breakfast and they did...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
