Well positioned hotel ,across the road from the French Quarter ,lovely boutique hotel,a true New Orleans style hotel. We have been to New Orleans a few times before and stayed at the Sheraton across the road but decided to try this little gem which we passed on numerous occasions. The staff where very helpful at the front desk and our...

When we arrived at the hotel we were immediately given our room (prepaid) for a master with street view. Gorgeous room with the exception of a giant hole in the ceiling. Immediately called down to the desk and was told the A.C. was being worked on. Duct work and ventilation easily viewed. Desk clerk acted as if this was acceptable...

I stumbled across this hotel looking for a last minute room for my niece and myself! Never having been to New Orleans before, I knew nothing about the logistics of the town. I called, the staff was amazing! It is diverse, helpful and they go above and beyond! They answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. The rooms...

WE stayed here for four nights, the hotel is in a great Location. The staff are very friendly but one of them tried to sell us some tours as soon as we walked through the door advising that s it was jazz Fest weekend we would have to book then that night. We choose not to as did not know...

Although we weren't there for jazz fest, the Pelham hotel was centrally located to most of the places we wanted to be in New Orleans. I gave them 4 stars because of the sales pitch as we were checking in telling me we must buy our sightseeing tickets through them and by 8:00 that evening ( it was almost 06:00...

The Pelham is definitely in a good location. It's a breathe away from Canal Street and Bourbon Street is five minutes further. I didn't read sufficient reviews to realise that the interior rooms didn't have windows, so an alarm clock is required otherwise you'll sleep the day away. The bed was high and comfortable, but the under sheet didn't fit...

Decent hotel; we had everything we needed, EXCEPT when the maid came in to clean she didn't leave us any soap, only 1 towel (for 2 people), didn't replace the coffee we used, etc. I had to go down to the lobby to get towels and supplies a few times in the 4 days we stayed. Troy, at the front...

We stayed here over the Easter weekend. The worst I can say is the elevator is very slow with only 4 floors. The staff is pleasant, our room was very clean and it was cleaned each day before noon. We had a room with 2 beds, not a spacious room, but we spent very little time in the room anyway....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
