Hotel was in a great location in the French Quarter- far enough from Bourbon Street to be in a quiet location. The bartender at Ice House Lounge made great mocktails. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
This hotel was perfect for our trip to New Orleans. The location makes it easy to walk every where in the French Quarter. There are so many restaurants and attractions nearby. The staff were all very nice and friendly. We were traveling with our kids and appreciated how quiet and family friendly the hotel was. The main pool was so nice, we spent alot of time cooling off here, we didnt go to the smaller pool. We stayed in a petit suite with two beds, the room was a bit small, but the beds were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. If we ever go back to New Orleans I would want to stay here again.
Charming hotel that is well taken care of. Has elegant feel from the lobby area, courtyard, & rooms. Be advised if you stay on street side, you will hear street noise if that is issue get a room farther back in courtyard. All in all love this hotel!
Rick the night auditor was the best!! He gave us great tips on where things were and made sure our friend arriving super late was taken care of. She also raved about how nice he was. Rating it a five because of his Customer service!
Room was small, the shuttered windows opened which was nice. Walking distance to French market. Can’t park at the hotel unless you pay additional $35 daily for their valet to drive your car 50 feet behind the hotel and park it
We had gone through a lot 9f online reviews and Provincial really stood out. When we arrived we understood why! Great place to stay, just off the noisy parts but actually only 2 block away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful property with nice rooms and a small swimming pool. The bar serves great cocktails too!
My sister and I had a lovely stay here from Friday evening til Monday. I feel it was slightly pricey for the simplicity of the rooms and housekeeping was up and about a little too early for our liking, but beyond that, it was honestly ideal. Clean, cool, rooms. The Courtyard with fountain was lovely and we made use of it in the evenings to chat and sip on a beverage. The pool is not huge, but so nice and welcome after walking around the French Quarter in the heat. Fantastic location. Very central and quiet at night when you’re ready to wind down. Jerome at the front desk was stellar and very kind with a great laugh. Ice water both plain and with citrus is always available in the lobby, which is great. We also enjoyed some nice cocktails at the small, pretty hotel bar. We would stay again!…
Woke up Sat morning with extremely loud construction work at 8am. Called front desk from the room to complain and she started to yell at me and hung up the phone. No heads up at booking or check in. Very rude front desk staff (only one of them).
My wife and I have chosen to stay at the Provincial for most of our trips to New Orleans for the past twenty-five years. The consistency of positive experiences will keep us coming back. Making reservations are simple and convenient. The friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff is unique to the Provincial. It starts with the reservations, moves to the ease and helpfulness of the Valet, to the ease of check in - and always landing in a comfortable, clean room that is exactly as we experienced with prior visits. Coming to the Provincial is like visiting a family friend and getting to stay in their best room. Thank you!
Beautiful historical hotel in the French Quarter that is located on the lower part of the Quarter. Away from the noise and ruckus, but not too far to get to the excitement. The restaurant on property, French Toast, was a delicious spot for breakfast. Other eateries are very close in proximity.
