Superb hospitality. A very warm welcome by John and Timothy who made us feel at home and comfortable from the very first moment. Great renovated hotel with a good combination of modern facilities together with the real New Orleans athmosphere. The hotel is situated in walking distance to every hotspot. One small remark to make is that one must be...

Charles and Mandy, A superb review! We love to see such an enthusiastic response. Parking is sometimes tough in the residential neighborhoods, but there is always a comfortable solution to that issue. There are several parking lots or garages within a very reasonable distance from the property. I'm glad you were able to utilize the lot at the harbour--a quick...

The hotel was in a prime location - close to restaurants and bars, the trolly line, and the French Quarter. It's absolutely beautiful - tons of class and charm. The rooms can be noisy but it's worth it for the location. The bed leaves something to be desired - pretty wobbly.

adleec, I'm glad to know the mansion and the staff were successful in their efforts to charm and impress you. You'll have to come back and see us again, and when you do we'll have to try and find you a more secluded room with more suitable mattress. Your input is so much appreciated. Thank you for your review.

Hotel staff, location, service - all really good. I just found the room itself did not have enough source of light that felt a bit depressing. Also the room has traditional keys that I felt as an overhead to maintain as hotel asks for a deposit to kept the keys safe.

I had an amazing stay at this gorgeous property! It had a bed and breakfast vibe but was still very modern. The staff is super friendly and more than accommodating! I checked in and was in my room for about an hour hoping it could cool down but the AC wasn't functioning properly. After attempting to fix it the manager...

emile_v89, Oh, how awesome that you got to stay in the suite! We love any opportunity to make a memory. Thank you for letting us take care of you! You're right about the neighborhood, too--it may not be the most central French Quarter location but this gives our guests the opportunity to see a part of town they might not...

Fabulous location, beautiful rooms, great pool, lots of character - I always stay at the Melrose Mansion when I'm in NOLA. It feels like the home you always wish you had, and the beds, bathrooms, and pool are amazing

Sarah R, Thank you for the compliments. The property is all about the charm of the mansion itself, and that certainly loves to be recognized. We love the Carrara marble in the bathrooms and all the dim, glowing light throughout the house. :) Thanks so much for your lovely words... come back in a few months when it's good &...

Nice mansion, stayed in guest house, tub didn't drain well and flooded bathroom. Received parking ticket after being told by staff it was ok to park out front. Wasn't told of a race that would block us in for hours, we missed our event

Margaret S, I'm sorry to hear your trip threw a couple of curve balls and that the experience wasn't all it should have been. The staff at the mansion are glad to assist in recommending established public parking lots or garages in the absence of on-site parking. Unfortunately the residential parking rule the city has in place for some neighborhoods...

My husband and I stayed in a Studio room with our 2.5 year old son. The accommodations were great. The hotel is in a good location - very close to the action of the French Quarter but on a relatively quiet) street. However, the breakfast was dismal - just a small offer of cheap sugary food, served on cheap plastic...

We stayed one night in January 2016. This property is gorgeous, quiet and very romantic. It is located walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. The staff was perfection. They were welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We walked around in the evening and never felt unsafe.

Excellent location to wander NO by foot. Near Frenchman street which is better than anyplace in the French Quarter. Clean and comfortable room. Beautiful grounds with pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was the only real downside, but the Ruby Slipper is just a short walk away and their breakfasts are outstanding.
