This place is big! Very crowded and it felt like the hotel didn't have a handle on the amount of people that would be there. I mean didn't they all make reservations? When we arrived at 6:30pm to check in (mind you this is hours after nornmal check in) there was still a very long line to check in. Luckily...

My wife and I stayed here for the Red Dress Run weekend of Aug 7-10. Initially when we checked in we had two double beds instead of a king as we had reserved. We went back down to the front desk and Preston helped us with no problem to get our room changed. He was fantastic! The service here is...

Went here and booked 6 rooms for a bachelor party and it was a great location near the French quarter at awesome rates around $89 per room in early Aug. It was busy when we got there but the front desk was really fast at moving the line. The hotel is always busy even after coming back around 3 am...

Have stayed here three times. Love the pool, and that there's a Starbucks on the main floor. Staff is always helpful and efficient. Within walking distance of a lot of sites and easy to catch the bus or street car from.

Arrived early in the day ,(9:30 am) and was able to check in and was given our room. Elevator system is fantastic. Never had to wait more than a minute for the elevator and never had to share one until the weekend. Agree that the bathroom size leaves much to be desired but it was clean.

We always enjoy this hotel. Love the elevators, lobby and pool area. Rooms could be updated some, especially bath but overall good. Convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment Valet can be a wait, especially on weekends. Parking is expensive

Spent the weekend of WrestleMania 30 here which also doubled for my bachelor’s party (YES!). Truly had an upscale feel to it from the staff, the lobby and the rooms. The hallways leading to our room and inside the room were very quiet. Didn’t hear any outside noise. Our room had a spectacular view of the river and Harrah’s Casino....

We were there for the Elk's Convention and quickly discovered that the elevators were not designed to handle large groups. Waits of 10 plus minutes werre common (7 elevators). I've stayed on this property at least 5 times before, but this will be my last. The rooms we received, after I had paid for the upgrade, was not what I expected. We had paid for a River view, which we did not get, but I left it alone and decided to stick with what they put us in. Although...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
