Hard to get around Mardis Gras parades but made it eventually. Check in as usual very smooth. Updated room was very nice surprise having stayed at this property regularly since its opening. Crescent city view room was perfect. Justin is the go to guy at this property. Very knowledgeable not only about property and surrounding areas, but also attune to...

I stayed at the New Orleans Marriott for business, and I had a very enjoyable stay. My room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel was in a good location close to the French Quarter and the World War Two museum. There were plenty of restaurants to close from as well.

We booked one night at the location the night before our cruise. We called the hotel twice to ensure that there would be parking at the hotel for this one night since it was Mardi Gras time. Both times we were told that they have plenty of parking and there would be no issue. Since we were arranging parking for...

We stayed at the Marriot only because we were at a conference otherwise we would have chosen some place else. The location is great but there are many other options close by. We were lucky to get a hotel when we decided to spend the last three nights of Mardi Gras on canal street. This hotel is very convenient to Bourbon St. as well as many great restaurants and historical sights. Our mistake was the issue of parking. We arrived on Sunday night before Fat Tuesday and the parade routes had already...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
