We stayed here for a night after our cruise. The club room breakfast was so wonderful, we loved the beignets and the omelette station! The hotel is right on canal street and we didn't realize that there would be parades ALL day every day we were there! Our room was nice, the bathroom is a tad small but the bed...

This is a perfect location. It is an easy walk to the the French Quarters, Streetcars, Aquarium, River Walk, Riverboat, Harrods, high end and budget shopping, and many souvenir shops . As for the rooms are very clean with great beds and bedding. The elevators are extremely fast.

Stayed here for 3 days. Excellent location, close to everything. Well maintained, great staff. Was able to see the parade from the front steps. Close to the French Quarter, and restaurants close by. Large hotel did not use the facilities but seem to have pool and gym available.

The NOLA Marriott is located at the border of the French Quarter, close to everything you want to do. I was here for bussiness, hotel suite was great and spaceous, meeting rooms were excellent. Breakfast is quite expensive but there are plenty of other places closeby.

Parents, fiancé, grandma and brother and wife went to the big easy for 2 days and one night. This Marriott was worth what we all paid. No doubt. Has a restaurant on site as well as a very nice lobby. Rooms were nice. Our window was a bit dirty but nothing major. Grandma mentioned her room windows were very dirty....

my wife and I had a wonderful weekend at the New Orleans Marriott, the staff there was very accommodating, and our room was super comfy (especially that king bed!). It was a perfect get-away, steps away from Bourbon street, 2 blocks from the river and a nice cruise, the old street cars out front were also convenient ($1.50 a ride,...

Check in was very quick and the desk clerk was extremely courteous. Corner room overlooking the river and the French Quarter was great. The room was very clean. I am not sure of the effectiveness of the elevator system. Lobby area was large. Fitness center open 24 hours. Less than a 5 minute walk to Bourbon Street and less than...

We visited New Orleans for my daughters 30th birthday. This hotel is in a great location for visiting the French Quarter. The check in staff was great and offered to upgrade our room for $30. We got a king corner room and it was very large. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The...

It's not the guests going in and out of the elevators, it's the elevators that are loud and noisy. We couldn't figure out what the noise was on the first night, but then realized it was the sounds of the engines and wind from the elevators that we really, really loud. It woke us in the morning and kept us...

Dear carriej11, Thank you for your recent post! We appreciate your honesty regarding the experience you had re: the elevator noise. We agree our hotel is pretty fantastic as far as location but elevator rooms (although must be sold) can be noisy from time to time. We hope you'll stay with us again soon!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
