Stayed at the Lamothe House for Thanksgiving weekend. Just steps to local dining, great music and The Frenchmen's Art Market. Excellent service from Claire when checking in. Thanksgiving day, a smiling Shywanda brought extra towels and asked if we needed anything else. Very kind indeed. What a hidden gem.

I had a wonderful time. I loved my room. So quaint. And the staff was wonderful! Places to eat and look over were just around the corner. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for better placement. Right in the middle of everything. Thank you so much!

Older historic hotel with modern in room features and comforts. Great location within walking distance from Frenchman and Bourbon Streets. OK pricing with safe gated private parking at $20/night. Staff very professional. Very clean room.

We spent a week in New Orleans right before Christmas and made the best pick for a hotel. Lamothe House is just as beautiful as it is special. We stayed in the Carriage House which was perfect since we were traveling with our adult children. You couldn't ask for a better location. Only a few blocks from the French quarter...

The Inn is in a convenient and close to Frenchman st. and downtown french quarter. Most everything is within walking distance or close to trolley. We ended up canceling our rental car and walked or Ubered when the weather became too rainy for us Cali natives. Staff was very nice and accomodating to our needs. New Orleans is a wonderful...

Came with the family for Christmas. Stayed in the back carriage house (not main house) with 3 beds which was perfect for us - my husband and I, and our grown son and daughter - they could have their own beds. We could walk to French Quarter but were out of the fray. We had a very short walk to...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lamothe House last week (1/4-1/7). Based on TripAdvisor reviews, I had called earlier in the week to request a room in the main house, primarily one with windows I spoke with Claire who was very helpful and kind, and she assured me we'd be in the main house and that all of the...

The hotel is an old house converted into a hotel. The feeling is like staying in a historical house with the amenities of a hotel. We loved staying here, the room was almost perfect (a refrigerator would have been nice). The location was amazing, in between the French Quarter and Frenchman St. We felt safe walking, and everything we needed was within walking distance.

Featuring an elaborate courtyard accented by mature landscaping, a garden pond, and a refreshing pool, peace and relaxation are just steps away from the thrill the Crescent City has to offer. In addition to 30 guest rooms refinished in traditional style, five Grand Antique Suites have been preserved from the original 1839 construction of the home of Jean Lamothe, a wealthy sugar cane planter of French descent. Furnished with antique furniture & artwork, the detail and charm that exemplifies old New Orleans is accessible to today’s traveler. Not to be overlooked is the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood the Lamothe House calls home. Here visitors will find Frenchmen Street, often referred to as “the local’s Bourbon Street”, which features some of the best local music and cuisine found in the French Quarter.Whether it’s your first or your next visit to the Big Easy, find the authentic New Orleans experience you are searching for at the Lamothe House. ... more   less
