Excellent location and very helpful staff. Brilliant room and the pool was wonderful for hot afternoons after morning sightseeing and nightly music. Near to Bourbon Street and surrounded by bars, restaurants and music but so quiet and peaceful inside.

I was stayed at the Maison Dupuy for a week to attend a business training. The hotel has a few rooms that have been renovated. The room I was in needed renovations badly, however, I must state that a few of my colleague's rooms were fine. I would rate this hotel a 3.5 on a scale of 5 due to...

Comfortable and very clean rooms, extremely courteous staff, a quiet and convenient location, and a good pool. Perfect for a short break to explore the French Quarter. We would certainly stay here again.

a terrible experience during jazz fest. what was sold as a deluxe room ($449) was a joke. Cramped and poorly located. Hotel has mediocre facilities overall and the main terrace was not available on consecutive night due to weddings. the so called balcony on our room (319) was in fact in front of the adjoining room's bathroom!! Pillows rock hard....

I have been staying at Maison Dupuy for 20 years. Despite going thru several changes in ownership, the quality has been consistently high. It's a full service hotel with old style French Quarter charm. They often hold weddings in the courtyard on the weekends which is a testament to the beauty, charm and service. It's near all the action in...

Skip this place, overpriced. And if they say charming, they mean old and run down. And if you do decide to not take this advice and book, make sure they don't give you the room I had: overlooking an HVAC unit and hearing the fan 24/7!

Loved the central location, Concierge were brilliant, and bar staff were friendly, it was lovely to see two weddings happening during our stay! The only negative, no fridge in room, but o think that's common in major 'entertainment' cities.

We stayed here because we were attending a wedding in this hotel . The courtyard and bar area and the communial areas are all lovely but the rooms are a bit disappointing concidering the prices . We paid for a deluxe king size room and we have a tiny bathroom with Brocken seat and a view of a brick wall...

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit New Orleans for a couple days after visiting friends in Houma, LA. Found this hotel on Expedia and it being in the area where we could walk to each place we wanted to visit. The room rate being affordable we decided to stay there. Was very pleased with our choice. Do...

The hotel is in a great location. My room had a large balcony facing Burgundy street. It was charming in spite of people walking by and horse carriage clopping along. Once you closed the doors- the noise completely disappears. The on-site restaurant is a little pricey but good. The pool area was wonderful. Overall a great place to stay.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
