The Maison Dupuy is far enough away from the bustle of Bourbon Street but yet the perfect distance to walk to St. Louis Cathedral/Jackson Square, Royal Street, and the French Market. It is a very nice hotel, but not pretentious at all. The restaurant is above par, in spite of it being a hotel restaurant. There was a wedding reception...

This lovely hotel in the French Quarter was where we stayed for our first trip to New Orleans. Located only two blocks from Bourbon Street, it's away from the noise and bustle, but an easy walk to everything including Jackson Square. There is a beautiful gated courtyard with a pool and valet parking is on site so no worries about...

At first I was a little concerned but this ended up being a GREAT location! Just take off walking and you are easily in the "Heart of the Quarter"! So many ways to get to Jackson Square, Canal Street and for those who don't mind a nice walk you're only about a mile from Lafayette Square. We were also only...

Our stay was most enjoyable - my only comment would be to have a refrigerator and micro wave in the room. Everyone was friendly, courteous and helpful. Location was great. Thanks for a wonderful time. Hated leaving.

Great location for a first time visit to NOLA and the French Quarter. The Hotel patio and pool are beautiful, the bistro provided good food and service at reasonable prices. Safe and quiet area within the FQ.

The entire staff was friendly and courteous. The location was perfect- far enough away from the nighttime noise, but close enough to access all of the sights easily and quickly. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
