The Maison Dupuy is a fabulous place to stay in the French Quarters. The staff is super friendly. The bar and restaurant never disappoint. The location is excellent. I stay here every time I am in the Quarters!

This hotel was only a few blocks from French Quarter. The location was great, because you got to enjoy the craziness and then return to a quieter street. Hotel staff was great and very accommodating, we got help from the concierge with directions, and my family and I were also able to store our luggage which made adventuring out so...

We had a room with a shared balcony overlooking Toulouse St. No noise really and the room was a double. Bigger than we expected. The staff made us feel welcomed. It was great and we plan to stay here next mardi gras.

Nice stay but rooms can get cold. Be sure to ask upon check in for a comforter/quilt. Rooms are not necessarily equipped with one. Overall, front desk, bell service, and dining experience was awesome.

Rooms are clean and staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Unfortunately cannot say the same for the restaurant though. The hotel itself is located in the French Quarter. It is ideally located for a trip to this area. Everything is a short walk away.

We walked everywhere from the hotel. It was so nice. It is simple, clean, practical. They help us with tour around town. It was wonderful. The staff are very helpful too. The hotel is old but that is the beauty of it.

Great hotel and location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and room service was quick. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to New Orleans. The staff helped us with directions and setting up our swamp tour. The food we ordered from room service was very good and we did not have to wait long. The...

I loved the courtyard at this hotel. It made up for the bland hotel room. Location is great. Staff are excellent. The restaurant was ok. I would be back hopefully at a better price. If character is a must for the hotel room you should go elsewhere. If character of the hotel is a must that this place is good.

Out of the 3 hotels we stayed in USA this was my least favourite. French sounding name in the french quarter we were expecting a bit more. Large room a little drab. On our last night we were late back to the room and it hadn't been changed The good thing about it is easy walking to Bourbon Street and...

The courtyard was beautiful. Loved the balcony. The rooms were outdated and not warm feeling at all. Great for people on a budget. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel was in a walking distance to wherever you wanted to go.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
