Great hotel! Location right on bourbon so could be a little noisy just depends on what kind of trip you're taking!! Very close to the street cars on Canal and close to the river! Everything was within walking distance!

The hotel is located right on Boubon Street, with the Streetcar stop right at the Door on Canal Street. We were upgraded free of charge to a room with a balcony overlooking Bourbon St which was amazing. Noise is only an issue on Saturday nights. The view down the street at any time is fantastic. Rooms are large with plenty...

A great hotel right in the French Quarter. The staff were charming and helpful and the rooms were very good. A warning though - if you are there over the weekend and want to get to sleep early make sure you get a room on the opposite side of Bourbon Street!!!

My husband and i stayed here this past weekend while visiting my brother who goes to LSU - we shot down here and chose this hotel. We had a wonderfully sized room with a balcony facing the ritz - not going to lie the balcony was greay ( my mother had one on bourbon) but it is a bit loud...

Bourbon Balcony King ~ Wow! Our first experience was watching an unscheduled brass band parade (beads and all) from our balcony ~ which was a great welcome. After walking the French Quarter, it was nice to relax and "people watch over a cup of coffee from our excellent view balcony. The room itself is EXCELLENT. Very spacious, clean and the...

Great staff at front desk & in Powdered Sugar cafe. Good location in French Quarter & easy walk to Frenchmans St. Rooms tidy & well appointed. Request to have inside room overlooking courtyard was met.

Right in the French Quarter with great restaurants and bars close by. Even the hotel bar is nice as is the Red Snapper restaurant. Some of the 4th floor rooms are very large with high ceilings. Nice coffee shop, but a little pricey.

Stayed here for 3 day vacation. Was very nice. No complaints. Convenient to French Quarter for us, without being in midst of too much noise during nighttime. Clean room. Very comfy bed. Would highly recommend, without hesitation, to my family or friends.

This hotel was perfect! The room was full of quarter character like squeaky floor, lovely large windows across full wall! The bed was comfy and l-shaped sofa marvelous! This was the best placed I have stayed in NOLA. And, part of the reason is how clean it was. The housekeepers are unparalleled! Hard to come by in the quarter. The...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
