We had a great stay at the Hyatt French quarter, location is great, very happy with the room had robes, coffee maker, frig. And best of all second floor, had French doors opening to pool and court yard to go out in the morning for coffee. Wished the outdoor bar was open but I guess it doesn't open till April....

Me and my friend stayed one night only at the Hyatt Centric on a trip to see the French Quarter. We are Hyatt Globalist (highest level) regulars and we weren't offered a significant upgrade initially. After complaining to the front desk the wonderful Joanna came and talked to us and addressed our concerns fully. She really was wonderful. I would...

We booked a King bed in our room, when we arrived early in the day were told there were only double queen rooms available for that night. Were given a room on Iverville Streen 2nd floor (252) it was so loud all night (from the bar on the corner of Iberville and Bourbon and at times there was a band...

Very interesting extraordinary city. French quarter is one the famous places here and one of "must seen" with a catholic cathedral, street artists and of course a lot of bars, restaurants and cafe on Burbon street

Could there be a more uncomfortable or depressing hotel? The rooms are grey. They don't have a chair or desk (does no one in this hotel read)? The bed gave me sciatica. Half the machines in the gym don't work. The food at Powdered Sugar is inedible. The concierge was so lackluster he told us we didn't need to make...

We visited for Mardi Gras and a few days after. We asked for a "Quiet Room" and was given a really nice room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. it was very quiet and never heard a sound from Bourbon Street. They also had extra security during Mardi Gras which made us feel very safe and comfortable. All the...

We stayed here for 5 nights during Mardi Gras including Fat Tuesday. From the minute we arrived, everyone at this hotel was welcoming and offered excellent service to our group of 8. Check in was easy and quick. Rooms were very spacious, ours had a couch, mini fridge, keurig, make-up vanity with a nice magnifying mirror which was separate from...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
