For my wife's 60th Birthday , we decided a weekend in New Orleans with a show and fine dining would be perfect. She picked this hotel from a list we created for her and they delivered. It takes up most of the block between Bourbon, Royal, Orleans and St. Ann Streets. When I mentioned it was her 60th birthday, they...

Our room was near Bourbon Street and sleep was near impossible due to noise till 3am. Rest of hotel was nice and staff was very good. A better room allowing us to sleep would have made this a fine hotel.

I've been in many New Orleans hotels and this one misses the mark. I completely understand it is old and so the rooms will be small and there won't be a completely modern feel, however it is advertised as luxury and it felt worse than a holiday inn. There were dust clumps on the wires of everything, the outlets were...

I choose this hotel because it is the one of the oldest residence. The junior suite was excellent. Wide, clean, with all comfort. We had also a terrace were take a look of people on the Bourbon street, during day and night

Not only on Bourbon street but short walk to Cathedral, Jackson Park, Frenchmen street, Cafe De Monde and Street car. Our room was on the poolside and room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. The tour we took stopped at hotel to tell the ghost stories of the hotel too!! Only recommend breakfast food would not be so expensive...

We book a four day vacation in an American city once a year and this year we picked New Orleans. Reviewing the cost and location of hotels, the Bourbon Orleans came on top. We booked 2 rooms (a Traditional Queen and a French Quarter Loft Suite). The Loft Suite with a living area and separate bedroom was basically the same...

This hotel came highly recommended so we figured we would have a great experience. Well, that was not exactly the case. Week prior, we had requested an e-upgrade, from the standard queen room to the French Loft Suite. On booking it, we understood there was a possibility that it might not be available when we got there, but figured, let's...

Even though the building is old the hotel is updated and beautiful. The lobby is very nice, the rooms are updated and the pool area is very nice. The location in the French Quarter is perfect for exploring all of the great things to do in that area. We only had breakfast at hotel and it was average. Staff is...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
