Very close to French Quarter, casino and restaurants. 15 minute walk to Rouseau grocery store and deli. Great place to pick up everything you need for your stay as convenience stores very expensive and limited groceries. Internet worked well in common area but not in room, probably due to age and brick building. Not an issue. Kitchen well stocked. Very... More

This is not a Hilton or a Mariott hotel! The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Actually they clean the room every day and change the towels. We stayed the first week of February of 2014. The location is excellent, 2 blocks behind the harrahs casino. The bathrooms need to be updated as well as the... More

We were concerned about this place because of all the negative reviews. We stayed at this timeshare from Jan. 31-Feb. 4th. The location was pretty good. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat but the place is clean. The faucet from the kitchen sink had little water coming out. For us, the location and the place was fine.... More

I did maintenance to the room, alarm clock was broken. Not enough hot water to have a bath or even use the jacuzzi tub, shower head was broken & the bathtub dripped like a son-of-a-b***h. NO WIFI !!!!

We traded in our timeshare through RCI. We were greeted with a bill of $39 the "resort" charges RCI members. NEVER had an extra fee The pictures show a hot tub on a balcony. With our bathing suits on we asked about hot tub. The hot tub is only for people in that room. The bathroom is worn out. Missing... More

This is an old timeshare property that rents out unused suites as a hotel. Our 2 bedroom had a sleeping loft plus bath as the second bedroom reached by a narrow metal spiral stairs. The location is great with an easy walk to the French Quarter, casinos, and public transportation but it is tired and worn out and needs major... More

The pillows were beyond flat, the mattress was flat & hard, the lamp in our room was broken the entire bulb portion was hanging at an angel. There were minimal dishes, which I found out several days later was because they were all in the dishwasher. The housekeeping staff didn't leave any toilet paper & I had to go to... More

It was a good sized unit. Accommodations were comfortable. The room had no alarm clocks or windows. We never knew what time it was. The elevator was broken half the trip. Our door lock would not work right and we had to get front desk to open most of the time. The hot tub was not working and looked like... More

This was our second trip to New Orleans and we loved the location of this place compared to where we stayed the last time! Like a lot of others we were very hesitant after reading so many negative reviews on here but we loved it. It is in an old converted fire house from the 1800's so yes it is... More

Reading the previous reviews I was dubious. In all fine is the word to use for this place. It isn't outstanding and the room with no natural light has it draw backs but the location is great, it is clean and fine for two people in the one bedroom. Just know expect nothing more than ok from the experience

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
