Older hotel with many lovely upgrades. Beautiful pictures on every room wall. Furniture is dark wood French style. We saw the same style in a plantation home tour. Very elegant. The bed in each bedroom was four poster style and, although comfortable, they creaked a lot with movement. Very high ceilings on the first floor and the second floor was...

We stayed here as part of an international timeshare swop. The apartment we had was great - it had a loft style bedroom and lovely atmosphere. The kitchen and bathroom were small but they were absolutely adequate. Yes the property is old - hello its an historic fire house. I thought that it was great fun. The staff that we...

We spent a week in a very spacious suite, very clean and well furnished. The hotel is really centrally located and we enjoyed good food and good music literally on our backyard ! The staff was polite and housekeeping was impeccable.

Friendly staff. Great location near Harrah's; walking distance to Riverwalk, Bourbon Street, downtown, etc. Property is old and not clean; bright lights always on in hallway and illuminate bedroom that only has shutters. Hot tub not clean. Washing machines, although free, were dirty. Would not stay here again.

Thank you so much for making sure, everyone was comfortable. I don't remember the young lady name but the young lady that work in the am until 5pm was Phenomenon. And the young lady I reserved the booking with, which work in the pm was Phenomenon as well. The manager Rene was Absolutely Amazing.... She made signs and directed everyone...

This hotel was A+ if you are looking for a room for more than 2 people. It has a living room/dining area, a small kitchen (fully equipped), a large bathroom and (we had) one bedroom. A third person, staying with us slept on the pull-out couch. Spacious and relatively inexpensive. It's close to the Quarter, Harrah's, restaurants and small grocery...

Booked this in March and was hesitant on how it would be based on reviews. Was pleasantly surprised to find it to be a great place to stay and a great room. We were on the 4th floor in the newer section. It was a one bedroom - but the room was huge! Large living area, full size kitchen, large...

Stayed here recently with 2 friends on a quick whirlwind visit to NOLA. We had a fantastic 3rd floor suite with two bedrooms. The place was perfectly comfortable for 3 adults. One of which was a couple. They shared the downstairs room and bathroom and I took the loft space. We really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk girl...

We just happened upon this place over Easter week. The gal in the office was nice enough to tell us all about it and show us a suite. When we got home, we called and she gave us a great rate and we were able to get into our suite a couple hours early. They had it all ready. We...

I’m not sure where to start. There are good and bad features. We had a 1 bedroom unit that we got as an exchange. This “resort” is in the warehouse district of New Orleans. It’s literally 2 blocks from the casino and only a bit further to the convention center and river walk. Not too much further and you’re in...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
