We had a great time to Chez Palmiers! Betsy was the perfect host and very accommodating to our flight arriving late. She was always available when needed throughout the weekend as well! The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, breakfast was delicious, and we loved getting to sip coffee on the back deck! The location was great. It...

Thanks so much for your comments; you were terrific guests! Best wishes on your wedding planning, and I hope to see you soon back in NOLA. Anniversary reunion, maybe? Peggy and Marge say YES!

We wanted to stay in an area a little quieter and less costly than the Quarter. Chez Palmiers was perfect! We stayed in the Loft, which is adorably decorated and really had everything we needed. Schuyler was there to greet us upon arrival and show us around - the whole house is darling. Would have loved to spend time on...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this delightful B&B for three nights. The room we stayed in downstairs was enormous, very comfortable and had everything you need. There was a breakfast set up every morning and the host Schuyler was very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location to the French Quarter, especially Frenchman street where all the...

Just what we were looking for: quiet, upstairs room in a house within walking distance of the French Quarter in one direction and the Marigny (Frenchmen St. music clubs) in the other. We stayed 6 nights, end of May, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Schuyler was our main host that week; very warm and helpful for N.O. first-timers such as...

Located a few blocks off the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, you can rejuvenate and relax is this cozy comfortable space. Modern adaptions to this cozy home come with an excellent assortment of breakfast items. The plus is how David and Schuyler make you feel comfortable. I've stayed here twice and will return! Great place for couples, but...

Chez Palmiers was an Amazing place to stay. The hosts offered all kinds of great suggestions for what to do and places to eat. They even have a printed out guide broken down into categories depending on what you might want to do. My wife and I had such an amazing weekend and could walk to just about every thing...

I was visiting New Orleans for a conference and wanted to stay close to Frenchman's street to enjoy the local music. Chez Palmiers was a perfect location - within walking distance of the conference (a nice walk to help work off the wonderful New Orleans cuisine) and very close to Frenchman's street as well as Bourbon street. Dave and Schuyler...

We stayed at Chez Palmiers May 5th through the 9th. From the moment we got in, David and Schuyler were fantastic and Chez Palmiers felt like our home away from home within minutes. Our group had the Grand Suite and the Loft Suite and both couples were comfortable and completely happy in each space. The rooms are made to feel...

We loved everything about this place! The hosts are terrific: knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. The room ("Blah Blah Room") was immaculate and very quiet - particularly astonishing given that the room opens up to the main foyer at one end, and the kitchen at the other. The daily continental breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of variety, including fresh...

My husband and I spent a week at Chez Palmiers, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Schuyler and David were wonderful hosts, and their home is beautiful. We stayed in the Grand Suite, which was the perfect place for a long New Orleans getaway with its sitting room, comfortable bed and large bathroom. David and Schuyler were...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
